I voted Last of the American Girls. I love the melody and the description of this kind of hipster girl in the 80'. She reminds me of that girl from Freaks and Geeks.

Also the music video is so different from everything else Green Day have ever had made. I don't remember if Samuel Bayer directed it, but I don't really care. It's a cool video, I wasn't dissapointed when it came out like many others were.

I love this song! :D

East Jesus Nowhere and Restless Heart Syndrome my favorite songs. But chose Restless Heart Syndrome.

East Jesus Nowhere! LOVE this song from the fisrt time i heard it!

For me this album has some weaker Green Day songs and some of the best. 21CB, Gloria!, LNE, EJN, Peacemaker, Murder City, Little Girl, and RHS are all some of my all-time favorites.

When narrowed down it comes down to LNE, EJN and Little Girl for me.

I'm going with Little Girl. It sounds so twisted and haunting and the guitar sounds in the background layer are just awesome. Also love the asian-esque piano intro into the jewish/middle eastern verse. The chorus is powerful and the solo is huge! Really wish the boys played it live more.

There isn't a specific stand-out track on this album for me, so choosing one actually turned out to be more difficult than I thought it'd be. I voted for The Static Age, although 21st Century Breakdown and both Viva la Glorias get a mention for being a collective second, hah.

"Know your enemy" has my vote

love that song

(I first voted for American Eulogy)

iViva la fucking Gloriaaaa!!!!!

Amazing, as studio version and live

:runaround:

I can't decide between East Jesus Nowhere and Horseshoes & Handgrenades :runaround:

WHAT?! no one voted for H&H yet? :angry *votes*

It was directed by Marc Webb. ;)

(he also directed the music video for Waiting, 21stCB & 21 Guns)

aww idk for what i should vote...for the Raw Ham song (aka Know Your Enemy), for East Jesus Nowhere or maybe for 21st Century Breakdown, cos it has amazing lyrics or for The Static Age or Before The Lobotomy? or maybe another song? Green Day y u have 2 b so goode?

Indeed, this is a very epic album. I guess this one was the hardest of all for me, because none of the songs really stand out of the bunch for me. After a couple of minutes of thinking, I voted for Know Your Enemy.

I've made up my mind. :P

I voted for American Eulogy, but the Static Age and Viva La Gloria were close seconds for me.

Posted

Murder City because of how rock it is. 2nd choice would be 21st Century Breakdown.

I've been thinking about which song I should vote for for quite a long time. Now I decided to vote for 21st Century Breakdown. This song gets me everytime. I love it

Hard choice between Before the Lobotomy and Murder City, but I'm obsessed with the line "I got so high I can't stand up", so I voted for Before the Lobotomy  But Murder City is my second favorite song off 21stCB

if i could vote for the demo, i'd vote for 21st Century Breakdown, cos that demo was just epic, but from the album version, i have really no idea for what i should vote...

Gloria!!!!

Honorable mentions: EJN, Peacemaker, Little Girl, 21 Guns... And SOTS/21stCB, Before the Lobotomy, Last Night On Earth - too many good songs!

Can't believe no one's voted for Song of the Century Peacemaker :o

Posted

Viva La Gloria

Horseshoes and Handgrenades is obviously the best song on this album, but some are close (Know Your Enemy, Before the Lobotomy, East Jesus Nowhere and The Static Age)

I'M NOT FUCKING AROUND!!!!!

What's even the point of putting Song Of The Century in this poll? Come on, no one's ever going to vote for that.

Just cause you brought that up, I might vote for it now... since I dont see The Static Age winning at all. I might change my vote to Song of the Century... lol

Little girl is my personal favourite...

<3 "Little girl, little girl, you dirty liar, you're just a junky preaching to the choir".... so good. :P

Tough one. Went for American Eulogy, it's got great parts to it. But I'm not sure I would be that annoyed which wins, this album is brilliant.

Just cause you brought that up, I might vote for it now... since I dont see The Static Age winning at all. I might change my vote to Song of the Century... lol

Damn, I forgot about that... tempted to change, if that's possible.

Oh Lorenzo.. why are you always so negative? I actually like Song of the Century and it still is a Green Day song..

Damn, I forgot about that... tempted to change, if that's possible.

It is ;)

I mean if you really think about it. Song of the Century is quite extraordinary. It is deep and has a good meaning. Also its epic to hear at the beginning of a Green Day show. When you hear "Sing us the song of the century." Everyone starts singing along and impatiently awaiting the band to come on and transition into 21st Century Breakdown.

Man I have so much more respect for the song now.
