Anja Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 Very good news! But its so far away from my hometown I will think about this....because of money...

Mary711 Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Right now it seems like we're driving down there by car.
Mary Daze Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Definitely! Not a single doubt about it Ich würde mich jetzt nicht als myff.de Freak bezeichnen Aber ich weiß was du meinst. Also Leo kommt. Und Naddy. Ansonsten weiß ich nicht ...dann eben ''Freaks, die ich durch myff.de kennengelernt hab'' oder so Okay, DAS hört sich dann ja mal echt gut an I'm sooooooooo looking forward to this.
ComaWhite Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 just ordered my ticket too......Green Day I´m coming..............YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY
Mary711 Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Do you guys plan to camp in front of the entrance that Friday night?
Elena Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Do you guys plan to camp in front of the entrance that Friday night? i think i don't...i'll probably sleep at my uncle's house, come to the festival at 1pm and chill there a bit and try to come as near to the band as i can...but i start with that at the band before them, otherwise it would be way too stressfull for me
WestboundSign! Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 i think i don't...i'll probably sleep at my uncle's house, come to the festival at 1pm and chill there a bit and try to come as near to the band as i can...but i start with that at the band before them, otherwise it would be way too stressfull for me I actually plan to do the same. Camping at the entrance only makes sense when you want to stay in the first row from the beginning until it's Green Day's turn to play, which has to be for about 8 hours. And since I don't want it to be that stressful and since I know I wouldn't be able to, I just want to enjoy the festival and try to make my way to the front (as far as I get) when the time has come, as Elena said. I decided it's the best for this festival! So you see, camping at the entrance doesn't make sense for me. That's reserved for the concerts then, I'd say!
Mrs. Nobody Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I tend to make my move 2 gigs before the band I want to see are on. Are they going to announce other bands for rock am see? the ones announced so far don't tickle my fancy tbh My only experiences of festivals are the swiss ones and getting to the front has never been a problem at all... however might not be the case in Germany At worst I'll just drink and dance around in the back somewhere Oh and I can't check into the hotel till 2, so (: /why the hell am I already talking about this? Pff

Pff There's 7 bands going to play. And hey, you couldn't ask for a better Co-Headliner Beatsteaks are about the best (German) live band you'll ever see (in my humble opinion) besides Die Ärzte and Rammstein. And about the border thing, if you have a passport, you'll be fine.
Minority_GD Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Do you guys plan to camp in front of the entrance that Friday night? I do! I definitely wanna get to the barrier. I mean, I won't drive 600 kilometres to stand in second row. I went to Rock am Ring last year so I have experiences in 'not peeing for 15 hours' xDD

WestboundSign! Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I went to Rock am Ring last year so I have experiences in 'not peeing for 15 hours' xDD Just wondering then: How does that work for you?

Minority_GD Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Just wondering then: How does that work for you? gosh! 15 hours! how's that possible for a girl?! wasn't your bladder about to explode? xDD The secret is: only drinking as much as you sweat. You gotta find the balance between collapsing and having to pee. I'd say about two sips every second hour xD

Minority_GD Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 And that works? I'm pretty sure it wouldn't for me! Well, it worked for me. Since you probably won't need a lot of energy for the band before gd you don't need to drink a lot before gd get on stage. You're allowed to take 1,5 litres with you at the festival, so you can drink a lot while gd are playing, so you won't get dehydrated...

I'm pretty sure I'd run dry and collapse before Green Day even get on stage then.. But great that it works for you!
Nemo. Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Okay.. I'm pretty sure I'd run dry and collapse before Green Day even get on stage then.. But great that it works for you! i think i gonna collaps too cuz its summer in september (what a logic)
solongfromthestars Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I'm pretty good at not needing a pee for hours yet not collapsing too I don't know if it always works to line up super early. In Manchester I got the barrier by doing that but was pushed off by people from the back because spaces appeared where others had collapsed. In Costa Rica I lined up super early and didn't get the barrier because my saggy pants fell all the way down when I was running across the pit. Then I got strangled and eventually pulled out, haha. I've heard a lot of people say that they start off at the back and then make their way to the front, and that's the best way to do it. No idea what's actually best and if I was just super unlucky to have those people around me in Manchester
Mrs. Nobody Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I feel like I may be in for something new in Germany At the zurich gig i got in 45 min AFTER doors opened and got barrier Festivals are different anyway, not many people stay all day at the front (apparently exception being gdcers haha) Man i can't wait though wembley seems like only yesterday
