Anja Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 I want to go, too, but there's no way my parents will drive me four hours for a one-day festival Does anybody happen to drive by Frankfurt on their way? I've never been in a car pool with people from the internet before, but when you're a Green Day fan and even are on GDC, I know I can trust you But seriously though, does anyone want to drive a puny 16 year old to his first Green Day concert? ;_; As I said earlier, we're driving by Heilbronn so if you could make it there somehow (by train or so), then we could take you with us.
Ya know!? Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 There are a lot of people from the Cologne area going. Are you on Facebook? No, I'm not on Facebook. And actually I don't know what to do You know, it depends on a friend how we might travel. She isn't exactly sure yet if she will go or not. How many places are still free in your car?! I'll definitely talk to my friend and then we can decide together what we'll do ^^ You're from Cologne? I mean, that would be perfect... ...We're from Aachen, it's just one hour with train till Cologne Main Station ^^

Are you guys all camping in front of the entrance the night before the festival??? (btw I haven't been on here for ages...where did the tour section go?)
HandGrenade39 Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 We drive 7 hours from Austria to Konstanz but it's totally worth it :] Still can't believe it! Edit: Drive with the train to Munich and then with a rental car to Konstanz
Anja Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 If you guys are on Facebook, you should come to this group: http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/205567359543420/205573539542802/?notif_t=group_activity We're talking about car pools there and renting a bus to get everyone to Konstanz. There's one going from Cologne and another from Saxony through Bavaria to Konstanz. But those are just ideas since it's only march.
sara_gd Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 If I go I'll be going from Zurich, and there's trains: http://fahrplan.sbb.ch/bin/query.exe/dn I wrote Zurich to Konstanz on September 1st arriving in Konstanz at 9:00 and there's a train leaving at 6:07 and arriving at 7:33, with a scale in Weinfelden. I think that's good. It doesn't tell prices, but here it says that it's 60€ for a second class return. In the first website, for next saturday, it's 30€ return though.

On bahn.com it doesn't let you put in as late as September 1st but for the same weekdays a few months earlier it says a return from Zurich to Konstanz is about €40. That's better than the €60 one but not as good as the €30 one. I guess we just have to wait until we can book trains for the actual dates to see the best prices
