DecanoLP Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 You guys should calm down a little bit. This is just the first tour date of a whole tour that is going to happen around September. Be sure to spend your money on some arena shows. Compared to these, the festival shows are of sorts and pretty standard in terms of the setlist for example No way I'll be going (way too expensive for one day) to this although I'm happy and excited that things are getting interesting now.

I'm hoping on an announcement next Tuesday, with tickets on sale to FanClub/O2 Priority members on Wednesday before general sale on Friday AM. But next Tuesday maybe pushing it, so in the coming month.

Can see them making special appearances at the AI dates around England if they're in the country at the same time... AI runs in sept & oct, right? Round about the same time the tour is rumoured to take place.. Coincidence? Just realised, this is probably in the wrong thread. I apologise.

Mild stalkage of the Rock en Seine website reveals that they went on sale at the end of April last year - so roughly 6 weeks from now. Also, looks like they didn't sell out until right before the event, so we shouldn't have to worry about that. I'm not convinced that this will be part of the tour. This is on a consecutive weekend to the Japanese show and GD usually take a break between tours on different continents. Living on a little island means a max possibility of 2 shows for me, so I'll have to travel either way. I plan on getting a day ticket once they are available.

I decided it's just too expensive with train costs and whatnot, I'd only go to a festival if it was near where I live. So I'm not going to this, but I'm so excited Green Day will be in Europe this Summer! And great that GDCers are going to see them! Can't wait to read all about it/see pictures/videos and all those things. I'm going to wait for a European and UK/Ireland tour, that'll be worth the travelling I think!

But I'm pretty sure they are not coming to Portugal hahah, that means, I'm probably not seeing them this year... But It's ok, I don't really like big festivals, they are expensive, and I never like all the bands playing. Ohh, I forgot to comment on this: Noel Gallagher will also be playing at that festival, this should be fun... I really want Green Day to be headlining and then Gallagher in the same day, opening for them muahahahah

I'm going to Uni that month and I really don't want to be trying to move into halls and then fucking off each night to go to a concert!

I can afford it BUT want to see them as many times in the UK as possible and hopefully go to California when they next play there - prob 2013. can't do it all. my main reason for going is that so far it is the only confirmed date in Europe. i'm sure there will be more, but until any are announced i'm thinking that I probably will go, probably. so it'd be great for some official news soon, particularly before day tickets for ReS go on sale...
