i was able to sort my minds finally

i will better visit as many concerts as possible in my home country(if they announce a tour) instead of going to this festival in paris..would be too expensive and in germany i could see them more often and go with my friends

i wanna go to all upcoming concerts in germany and i've already saved money for it but I CAN'T WAIT! gotta go there too and I LOVE france/french! :D

I don't think this will work for me. The journey there would be way too expensive for a festival.. I think I'll have to wait for their concerts. If this was one, I'd actually go. =/

I think I'll only do a day too. I just hope it's not sunday... I start school the next day heh

This is so excitinggg, the first European date :runaround: I am very tempted to make this work somehow, but like a lot of you contemplating if it's worth it...

I most likely will only go if they play on Saturday and just buy a day ticket. Otherwise it would be way too expensive and I've got school the next day... so... yeah.

Also, they won't just come to Europe for one show and it would be possible for them to realease an album in August, so we might get a whole tour and I don't want to spend all the money I've saved on one festival.

Make sure to tell me if you go for a day. I don't think I'll be going, but maybe we could go together and share a train ticket or something. But yeah... I actually think spending 49€ on a ticket and at least another 100€ on the journey only for a festival gig is a bit too expensive. =/

But you know, my birthday is on April 22nd.. *cough* I want a ticket *cough*

i wanna buy my ticket too! but i wanna wait til all bands are confirmed, i think i'll rather buy a one day ticket than a 3 day ticket^^

gonna be awesome!!!!! :) ich würd sagen da muss n treffen unter den deutschen green day fans die hingehn geplant werden ;)

I was scared that the one day tickets will sell out too fast once announced, so I decided to take a 3 day one. And of course the GDCers will meet up. :)

This is awesome, but it just sucks that I can't go =/ I wish I lived in France right now.

Same here. Part of me is dying to book this (not that I've got the money yet but yeah ) but I'll slap myself if a whole tour comes soon afterwards, which it kind of looks like it might. Yet I'll also slap myself if a whole tour doesn't come afterwards and I didn't go to this.

I need to win the lottery so I can just book this anyway and not worry about it :P yeah... in a perfect world. Haha.

I'm really tempted to go, but it's not exactly cheap or easy to get from Manchester to Paris for a day or two. And I'm hearing rumours of an Arena Tour in England which would be much cheaper and efficient.... ARGH I don't know what to do!!

I'm absolutely gutted this is the same weekend as Leeds Festival. I'd definitely have strongly considered having a bit of a trip down to France, would've been amazing. Ah well, maybe in their arena tour.

If those didn't look so fake I'd be more inclined to wait for the tour... :(

Posted

So are you guys going to wait for the day tickets to go on sale or just get weekend tickets?

Posted

Dublin isn't part of the UK

Posted

I wont be going. Hate festivals and I'll just wait for the Arena tour.

Uk arena tour is coming. All we know is its in the fall, dont know when exactly or where. My guess is early September. And it would prob have a much better designed poster than that

Posted

Yes, I could have made a better poster than that, and I am not creative at all :P

Ahhhhhh I am fangirling at the thought of them in the 02 again

Oh I was so set on going but you guys have got me thinking about the arena tour...I don't know now. I'd be able to go to more shows in the UK but then if they're playing near me I want to be able to go :/ I could afford it if I saved up but I'll kick myself if I can't go to more UK shows cause of it.

Posted

Sure, day tickets aren't even on sale yet :) So if we're lucky a tour will be announced before they do go on sale!

Just a thought: There's a good chance they would only play one new single at the summer festivals, based on what they did for American Idiot (only playing American idiot the song). I would think that they would be playing MORE new songs at a UK arena tour that would coincide more with the album's actual release. So you might want to consider that... the festival and the arena would be two different concerts. You'd get more old GD at the festival, I would think, and maybe very little new music.
