I totallly agree with you on Chessa. That was our first reaction too, until she calmed down and hit that note at the end. I looked at Dan and said, that's it. CeeLo's going to pick her no matter what Erin does.

I kept looking at Tony's face. He seemed a bit dejected as the other judges picked Chessa but was also a professional and didn't "really" show it, but you could tell.

Yeah, CeeLo, made the wrong decision and he may live to regret it. And I also wonder as someone said above, what he said to Tony at the end.

Erin was never even a contender last night, she's so awful. Tony was an absolute gentleman, and it was sweet that Cheesa immediately turned and gave Tony a hug. I get the impression that Cee Lo's team was pretty close knit. I find it funny how so many people are coming out of the woodwork on social network sites to support Tony, but when he was on the show, all I saw were immature comments about his "scary" appearance. People are dumb.

Cheesa will not make it any further than next week, she can't compete with Jamar and Juliet. Don't even get me started on James. I have no fucking idea why anyone would vote for him. In my humble opinion, Jamar will win the whole thing.

If I can't have Tony win, I'm afraid I'm jumping on the Juliet bandwagon. However, after the show, Dan said he was sorry to see Tony go was was really really glad we never had to watch the show again! And he's definitely NOT a James fan at all!

As to Erin, she's from Chicago so there's been a lot of NBC hype about her on all the news shows. Can't say I ever liked her or her voice, but I knew her name because of that.

I like Juliet too, but I'm rooting for Jamar more. His blind audition was my second favorite to Lindsey Pavao's, who is unfortunately on Team Bitchtina. Lindsey's first live performance blew, but I still really like her (hometown girl, represent!).

So you're still going to watch, Marilyn? Hopefully this thread stays active in another place on the forum so we can still discuss the show.

I said Dan doesn't want to see it! I'm going to keep watching, I hope! And yes, I'd like to at least keep this open and active for the rest of the show. Maybe they'll bring back all the "rejects" at the end and we can talk about Tony again!

Sweet! There's many things I don't like about this show, but I enjoy it anyways. I had never heard of Dia Frampton before last season and now I'm a fan of hers, so I like hearing "new" artists sing.

Tony Vincent

I especially want to thank my friends and support from my native state New Mexico— especially in my home town of Albuquerque. Even though I moved to New York 15 years ago, I return often because my heart is "high-desert" and embedded in the "land of enchantment".

I agree. I don't know why James is so popular. He is a mediocre singer at most and doesn't really have much power in his voice. Unfortunately, he has troops of fangirls all over the internet who are voting like crazy for him and have cardboard cutouts of him in their bedrooms (true statement about the cutouts). I don't really hate anyone on the Voice, but James isn't really my type of singer. Also, thank god that Erin was eliminated, wasn't a too big fan of her... :ninja:

Aww poor Tony! I voted with all my e-mails too. =(

Maybe it will be like American Idol where the people who didn't win become the real winners and get signed and become big and stuff y'know?

I think Tony will be fine no matter what. He will always be welcomed on Broadway with open arms, so it's not like he doesn't have any options.

Erin Martin was bashing Cee Lo and his song choices for the team on Jimmy Fallon tonight. She should be grateful she made it as far as she did with her dreadful voice, even if he didn't pick songs wisely (which I do agree with). Jimmy asked her if she thought she would have done better with a different coach, and she said maybe. Way to burn that bridge!

Man, what a disappointment to see Tony Vincent leave The Voice. I thought his "last chance" performance was extremely compelling, dramatic and amaziingly interpreted. I hope his time on The Voice leads to new opportunities for him.

That was sweet that they mentioned him and Sadie. :)

What a gracious man he is! :)

The way he was talking about twitter and marketing makes me think he called Billie and asked him for a favor with that "vote for Tony" tweet... otherwise Billie never would have thought to do it.

I guess Tony has a beef with this interviewer misquoting him:

Also, HERE'S an interview with Cee Lo about the eliminations. He had this to say about Tony:

“Tony, I just connected to him like a brother, and we celebrated the birth of his new baby and we just were really good friends,” he added.

Cee Lo said he was “humbled” by Tony’s ability. “He’s accomplished something in the arts that I have not,” Cee Lo added.

Tony, a Broadway veteran who has starred in such shows as American Idiot and Rent, sang "Sweet Dreams Are Made of This" for his last-chance performance on Tuesday.

“Do I think that song choice that he selected was the winning one? No I don’t,” Cee Lo said after the show. “I was just a little disappointed in that, and I had to be honest.”

Anybody watch The Voice last night? I'm pissed Blake eliminated Jordis, even though I expected it.

Posted

Nope, didn't watch. Sorry. So who's left?

Posted

Blake eliminated Jordis and Christina eliminated Jesse Campbell. Tonight one more goes home from each team. Next week it's Adam and Cee Lo's teams.

Posted

Oh shoot, my Chicago guy is gone. :(

Posted

I didn't like him, so I'm glad he's gone. People are super shocked she let him go though since a lot of people thought he could win.

Posted

After Tony, I'm pretty sure I only liked him because of the Chicago link! Oh, well, off to find my next best singer to root for! :)

Posted

Yay, Blake sent that horrible RaeLynn girl home! Christina saved Lindsey, so I'm relieved by that. I hope Cheesa and James go home next week from Cee Lo's team.
