Broadway veteran Tony Vincent is among the contestants battling it out for a recording contract on season two of NBC's hit singing competition The Voice. After wowing the judges with a rendition of Queen's "We Are the Champions" during his initial blind audition, Vincent was selected for "Team Cee Lo" and will now be mentored by Grammy-winning musician and producer Cee Lo Green. "I think this is the best possible fit I could have," the singer recently told Broadway.com of the mentor match-up. Vincent's career as a musical theater performer has taken him around the world, having led rock-tinged musicals on both Broadway and the West End. Rent (1998)

Before rocking a shaved head in American Idiot, Vincent sported some seriously platinum locks in his debut Broadway performance. After touring the country as an ensemble member, Vincent joined the Broadway company of Rent. (Fun fact: He is one of the few actors to have played both Roger and Mark full time on Broadway.)

Jesus Christ Superstar (2000)

Vincent kept his platinum dyed locks for TV's Great Performances semi-staged version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar in 2000. He played apostle Simon Zealotes, but when the musical was revived on Broadway later that year he switched roles to Judas Iscariot. Take a look as Vincent (back to a more natural hair color) belts the show's title song during a 2002 tribute to Lloyd Webber.

We Will Rock You(2002)

The rocker was in familiar territory when performing Queen's "We Are the Champions" on The Voice, as he previously covered the work of the legendary band as a star of the original West End cast of the jukebox musical We Will Rock You. Vincent played Galileo, a rebel who sets out to conquer the evil Killer Queen leader of a dystopian future world. Check him out below performing Queen's popular anthem "Bohemian Rhapsody."

Musical Moments (2005)

Vincent headed to Hong Kong to take part in the annual concert extravaganza Musical Moments, which pulled popular tunes from classic musicals like The Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story and Les Miserables. One of his numbers was "Sun and Moon" from Miss Saigon, which he dueted on with singer and former Miss Hong Kong runner-up Marsha Yuan.

I'm just wondering...how long do you think it'll take the judges to discover that he's worked and recorded with Green Day. Do you guys think that would hinder his success on the show? Would the others slap themselves over not choosing him?

The Voice is actually partly made for those semi professionals who haven't got their big break yet as well as people without much experience but sing very good. They are looking for the best voice of the US so that included everyone who did not yet received the recognition yet for being the best.

Based on previews for next week I know who Tony does not battle. The only contestants left for him to face are James, Justin or Wade. Since similar styles are often paired, I think James and Wade may battle, leaving Tony with Justin - but we shall see.

Did you see him on the latest promo? I didn't, so does that mean he's probably not on this week's show either? This is taking forever. I don't know enough about the show, having only started watching this season, but is it good or bad that he's waiting so long? Or does it not matter and I'm making too much of the wait because of MY nerves?!!

No, I didn't see him. I saw Erin and The Shields Brothers, which just leaves Tony and the three other guys from Cee Lo's team. He could still possibly be on next week though because they only showed a handful of people in the preview very quickly.

They flashed it so damn fast I couldn't even see who it was! I'll have to wait until the preview is online so I can watch it again.

Edit: Christina Milian posted a behind the scenes photo of her interviewing James and Wade, which means that they battle for sure. So I was right, Tony will battle Justin, and I believe Tony will have no problems winning. I want to know what song they do! If anyone is curious, HERE is the video of Justin's blind audition.

Currently TeamTV is only showing up (at best) on page 4 of Google search results for “Tony Vincent”. Who, (seriously) is gonna look past the first 1 or 2 pages for all the TV info?! The Voice contestant Tony Vincent stopped by the Rolling Stone studio to chat about his experience working in rock musicals such as American Idiot, Rent and Jesus Christ Superstar on Broadway and how he lucked out by getting to audition for the show by singing Queen's "We Are the Champions." "It was never really an option for me to sing a Queen song initially, going into this competition," says Vincent. "On the open audition call, I did sing a Queen song for that. It was a big thrill, because the song was already in my body. It was a major, major blessing."
