*withoutadoubt* Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 ^ Nope, no Tony last night. Based on the previews, it looks like Blake and Christina's teams are doing the battle rounds next week, but those can be misleading. Ok, thanks! I didn't watch the show last year, so I'm not familiar with the setup.
Guest Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Apparently all teams are doing battle rounds tonight, but I haven't seen Tony in any previews. That doesn't mean he won't be on it though.
GreenDayisAmazing Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 What time does this show come on and what Channel? I watched the blind auditions last night, but it was all old stuff that’s already been showed.
desertrose Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Watch Five Highlights From the Broadway Career of The Voice's Tony Vincent Broadway veteran Tony Vincent is among the contestants battling it out for a recording contract on season two of NBC's hit singing competition The Voice. After wowing the judges with a rendition of Queen's "We Are the Champions" during his initial blind audition, Vincent was selected for "Team Cee Lo" and will now be mentored by Grammy-winning musician and producer Cee Lo Green. "I think this is the best possible fit I could have," the singer recently told Broadway.com of the mentor match-up. Vincent's career as a musical theater performer has taken him around the world, having led rock-tinged musicals on both Broadway and the West End. Take a look below at five stand-out performances from Vincent's life in the theater. American Idiot (2010) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJQMkRq0b3Y Rent (1998) Before rocking a shaved head in American Idiot, Vincent sported some seriously platinum locks in his debut Broadway performance. After touring the country as an ensemble member, Vincent joined the Broadway company of Rent. (Fun fact: He is one of the few actors to have played both Roger and Mark full time on Broadway.) Jesus Christ Superstar (2000) Vincent kept his platinum dyed locks for TV's Great Performances semi-staged version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar in 2000. He played apostle Simon Zealotes, but when the musical was revived on Broadway later that year he switched roles to Judas Iscariot. Take a look as Vincent (back to a more natural hair color) belts the show's title song during a 2002 tribute to Lloyd Webber. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIiunOu3sB8 We Will Rock You(2002) The rocker was in familiar territory when performing Queen's "We Are the Champions" on The Voice, as he previously covered the work of the legendary band as a star of the original West End cast of the jukebox musical We Will Rock You. Vincent played Galileo, a rebel who sets out to conquer the evil Killer Queen leader of a dystopian future world. Check him out below performing Queen's popular anthem "Bohemian Rhapsody." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSIeR47TgiY Musical Moments (2005) Vincent headed to Hong Kong to take part in the annual concert extravaganza Musical Moments, which pulled popular tunes from classic musicals like The Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story and Les Miserables. One of his numbers was "Sun and Moon" from Miss Saigon, which he dueted on with singer and former Miss Hong Kong runner-up Marsha Yuan. http://www.broadway....s-tony-vincent/
Guest Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 No Tony tonight and he wasn't in the previews for next week.
-Billiejoezee- Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 I really hope he makes it pass the battles. He deserves it!
GreenDayisAmazing Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Ohh okay thanks! I really hope Tony makes it past battles too!!!
Sixtrix Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Oh my God he did so well. I'm just wondering...how long do you think it'll take the judges to discover that he's worked and recorded with Green Day. Do you guys think that would hinder his success on the show? Would the others slap themselves over not choosing him? The Voice is actually partly made for those semi professionals who haven't got their big break yet as well as people without much experience but sing very good. They are looking for the best voice of the US so that included everyone who did not yet received the recognition yet for being the best.
Guest Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Based on previews for next week I know who Tony does not battle. The only contestants left for him to face are James, Justin or Wade. Since similar styles are often paired, I think James and Wade may battle, leaving Tony with Justin - but we shall see.
lizziebix Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Did you see him on the latest promo? I didn't, so does that mean he's probably not on this week's show either? This is taking forever. I don't know enough about the show, having only started watching this season, but is it good or bad that he's waiting so long? Or does it not matter and I'm making too much of the wait because of MY nerves?!!
Guest Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 No, I didn't see him. I saw Erin and The Shields Brothers, which just leaves Tony and the three other guys from Cee Lo's team. He could still possibly be on next week though because they only showed a handful of people in the preview very quickly.
Guest Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 No Tony tonight, his battle is next Monday, the final week of battle rounds. I haven't seen tonight's episode yet so I don't know if they show who he's paired with in the preview.
lizziebix Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 They did. In fact, I was going to ask you who he's up against since you seem to know all the "players!" Let me know what you think of the match up when you see the promo.
Guest Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Did the guy have a beard and kind of blondish reddish hair?
lizziebix Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 It went by so fast, I only saw Tony on the right with another guy on the left. I don't remember much about him. Sorry.
Guest Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 That's okay, I'll see it in 2 hours, I'm just impatient.
Bundita Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Tony's video blog in preparation for the battle rounds! http://www.nbc.com/the-voice/video/tony-vincent-battle-round-preparation/1390884
Guest Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 And now I'm impatient to hear your opinion! They flashed it so damn fast I couldn't even see who it was! I'll have to wait until the preview is online so I can watch it again. Edit: Christina Milian posted a behind the scenes photo of her interviewing James and Wade, which means that they battle for sure. So I was right, Tony will battle Justin, and I believe Tony will have no problems winning. I want to know what song they do! If anyone is curious, HERE is the video of Justin's blind audition.
TeamTonyVincent Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 Hey guys I could really use your help. I desperately need to shift TeamTonyVincent.com higher up the google rankings. Currently TeamTV is only showing up (at best) on page 4 of Google search results for “Tony Vincent”. Who, (seriously) is gonna look past the first 1 or 2 pages for all the TV info?! This is a major problem especially in light of promoting Tony and getting the site and it’s content out to new fans from ”The Voice”. His website is great, but there is a lot more content / information for fans to view over on TeamTV. So, this is what has been suggested by Bandzoogle (our web provider)—LlINK SHARING. If any of you have any proper websites, could/would you PLEASE add a link to http://www.TeamTonyVincent.com on there (and i’ll link back your site on TeamTV). Also, if you use social networks such as Twitter, Facebook or Tumblr, please could you give it a plug and link to it there also. The more sites that link to TeamTV, the higher the site will go in the Google rankings. We need to be shooting for page 1 to be effective in promoting Tony! So, let’s bring on the TTV traffic! Your support would also be appreciated over on: http://www.facebook.com/TeamTV and https://twitter.com/...TeamTonyVincent THANK YOU ALL! Don't forget to tune in next Monday for an EPIC battle! desertrose Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Video! Tony Vincent on Broadway and Queen March 21, 2012 The Voice contestant Tony Vincent stopped by the Rolling Stone studio to chat about his experience working in rock musicals such as American Idiot, Rent and Jesus Christ Superstar on Broadway and how he lucked out by getting to audition for the show by singing Queen's "We Are the Champions." "It was never really an option for me to sing a Queen song initially, going into this competition," says Vincent. "On the open audition call, I did sing a Queen song for that. It was a big thrill, because the song was already in my body. It was a major, major blessing." http://www.rollingst...-queen-20120321 Tony Vincent my opportunity to invest in some really special young people. here's a video...
