Katarina. Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 You can't really wish a record happy birthday, but.. it's a Green Day one, so: Happy 18th Birthday, Dookie! Awesome record. I'll listen to it on repeat for the rest of the day! Oh, and I shouldn't forget to mention the artwork! It's great.
Malleus Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I'll never forget sneaking into my brother's room when he wasn't home and sitting there, listening to Dookie for hours on end and just being competely absorbed and mesmerized. Amazing album and I am definitely excited to give it a fair amount of listens in honor of the day.
Sarabeth Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Dookie was the last of the Green Day albums that I discovered. You'd think it would be one of the first right? The first time I ever saw the lyrics was when my cousin gave me his electric guitar and the music book for Dookie. I sat in the car and read the lyrics like a book thinking that they were so cool and when I got home I bought the album and listened to it for the first time. Since that was in April, whenever I listen to Dookie I feel like its spring time. For like a whole month I sat in my garage with my guitar and my skateboard listening to Dookie. Good times... Now I want to go do that... Happy birthday Dookie!
