XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted March 18, 2012 Author Posted March 18, 2012 Glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. It's a nice design and all, but I'm sure there were some other ones that were awesome. I'd personally love to see all of the entries. I agree. I think it would have been cool if they created a Top 10 or a Top 5 list, and had fans vote for which one they liked the best. Even though I think the one they picked is pretty cool, I still think it would be awesome to see the other entries, or at least the ones that look like professional level designs.
Annie, get your gun Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 April 16: Last month Idiot Club had a contest where members submitted their best design for a new Green Day T-Shirt. The band selected a winner and the t-shirt has gone into production!
Ingrid Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 In the production photos it looks like they messed up the colours of both t-shirts, which is too bad because they don't look half as good anymore I'm really disappointed - I was gonna get one for sure, but now I don't know anymore. Must really suck for the girl who designed them too, to see the colours being changed! And I know these are from the IC, but I don't see why it would be a problem that I post them here.
Sarcasm Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I'm no fan. The cassette tape just screams "we wanna be more retro than this millennium allows us to", to me. I'll probably get a shirt either way though, but I'll prioritize the 6pack of apathy shirt for now.
Fuzz Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I like the design, think it looks good on those printed shirts. I'll be getting one (maybe we'll buy an extra few to giveaway)
Annie, get your gun Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 I think it looks way too much simple. Maybe they should've done the cassette green or something more striking.
whatserbmae Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 I'm totally in love with the design. But I'm really disappointed that the colors of the shirts are nothing like the photo we saw earlier. I was looking so much forward to get the dark blue one (I was even thinking of getting one in each color!), but these shades of blue and grey are just... far from as nice as the other colors! In the production photos it looks like they messed up the colours of both t-shirts, which is too bad because they don't look half as good anymore Couldn't agree more.
ThibautDookie Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 They should have put a lot of pictures of Green Day during 1994-1995, it would have been an awesome t-shirt
Velocity Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 I'm with everyone else on being disappointed with the colors. Meh, I'll still get a blue one though because it's still a great design. But it would look ten times better if they had it in black or white.
Mary711 Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 I thought they were going to be dark blue. That would've fit better in my opinion, but I still like it for being designed by another fan.
