Nemo. Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 billy talent most of all ... and donots (they supported them in germany 2010)
Stormy Haze Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Frank Turner again! I got into his music recently so I'm a little bit biased, but you can see clearly that he gives one hell of a show...
raven052 Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Gotta agree with previous posts, co-headlining with My Chemical Romance. (me? biased... no! ) I don't care how far I have to travel, I would be there for that! Dream come true! Literally, actually. Really had a dream a few weeks ago that Green Day and MCR were touring together, only in America, but I was gonna go to every one of those shows No one wants to know the details of this though, I'm sure.
Brigister Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Rancid I fucking agree, but I don't think a huge band like Rancid would open for another band So I guess Andres and his mexican music band would be the right one.
Disapperingirl Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I have the feeling it could be possibile to have Emily's Army opening during the next tour...you never know Prima Donna again would be great, or The Living End of course! Uhm, what about Mystic Knights Of The Cobra?? Billie likes them, and they opened for FHT...
Hedwig Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I have the feeling it could be possibile to have Emily's Army opening during the next tour...you never know I think there is a pretty big chance that this will happen. I would like to see them with Rise Against, but more like a pop disaster kind of thing and not as a opening band. Also, like some people have said, Rancid. Though I think Rancid woud get a bunch of shit from punk communities for playing with GD. I guess GD would get shit too, but whatever.
San Miguel Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Gorillaz - but so long as they agreed to only play the short songs to give GD maximum stage time!
BillieJoeObsesser Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I saw Social Distortion open before Green Day came on at Lollapalooza. I would love to see them open for GD again. Also I'd love to see Prima Donna & Frank Turner open again for them. I wouldn't mind even seeing the Kooks open for them.
LouLou Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I would love to see My Chemical Romance opening for them, however the timing would be bad, as MCR would most likely be off tour at the time the Green Day go on tour. Also, I actually wouldn't be surprised if Emily's Army opened for them at some point in time. That seems like it would be a realistic idea.
Elena Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 my band Rage & Love...i'm sure till they make another tour we're good enough to open for them...damn, i'd play with heart and soul ...but i know that that will never happen, soo I go with Rancid, MCR, DI or Emily's Army...or Dead Commercial...they're a pretty good band, but barely anyone knows them, they'd be perfect for opening GD
Disapperingirl Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I saw Social Distortion open before Green Day came on at Lollapalooza. I would love to see them open for GD again. Oh really?? Didn't know that!! Now I can have more hopes for Social Distortion
Rancid punk:LTD Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I really hope emily'sarmy doesnt open I cant stand them.
Artificial Idiot Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 What about Rage Against the Machine? Since Green Day and them are both political.
Mary711 Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Do you really think Emily's Army would be realistic? I mean, since they don't want to get attention because of their connection to Green Day. If they'd open for them, they'd only have the possibility to do so because of that and most of the people would compare the bands and things like that. I don't think that's what they'd want, though I would like to see this happen.
karma1215 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I also would love to see White Wives aka Anti-Flag as a potential opener.
Heather. Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I really don't think EA is ready to open for Green Day... maybe one show, but... I think Green Day will and should have a bigger name band.
Emilie Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Or The Influents... (hell, I just want them to get back together!) You have no idea how often I dream about this. I mean, it'd be easy. If they got Bill to play instead of Johnny, then half the band is already on tour! You just need to get Greg and Willie.
PleasedToMeetMe Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 I also saw Green Day at Lollapolooza and thought Social D was a GREAT opening act. The setlist was very predictable but it was amazing seeing two of my favorite bands on the same stage. I remember seeing Billie and Adie rocking out on the side of the stage.
alaniluau Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I fucking agree, but I don't think a huge band like Rancid would open for another band But remember, Rancid opened up for two absolute shit bands over the summer that are nowhere near the boys' caliber. A Green Day ft. Rancid tour could logistically happen, but it seems unlikely to me. Regarding Emily's Army, Max emphasized in an interview with KLYAM that they want to focus on touring with mid-sized groups (Broadway Calls was the example he tossed out) before jumping into anything too crazy. A bit down the line, however, I could picture them opening for Social D or Green Day at home shows.
Hermione Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Prima Donna! Love them. And a bonus Foxies show while Kevin's around too please And in my fantasy world, Muse.
