Great idea! Voted for Christie Road, then saw WWHC was alreday decided on - which is also a good choice, being Billies favorite and all! Would be awesome if it made the top of the charts!

yeah, okay. I think Christie Road would be great, I know that's many peoples favorite song from Kerplunk.. in what country are we gonna make it to the charts? UK or US? and does it matter where people buy it? i think the 17th is too soon to make it to the charts, but maybe before the month is over

I believe we are going to try for WWHC? because it got the most votes. Also, I don't think we are going for a certain country for making the charts, it's more like "everybody purchase the song and see what happens" kind of thing.

I'm going to get up a post on GDA tomorrow. Can someone say with certainty that people should start downloading the song this week for it to show up next week? Is that just iTunes or Amazon as well?

I feel like there's some unanswered questions we need before we tell people to spend their money.

Actually, i think Amazon is more instant. But the song is currently at #123,000, so we'll need time to get it up a lot higher than that (top 100 would be awesome!)

I don't know about other countries but for the UK the sale are counted from 00.01 Sunday to midnight Saturday link

So just under 3 days 18hrs until the new charts. So it would have to be downloaded before midnight saturday to be in next weeks charts.

I don't know if it wold be best to try for the following week so there is more time, or if that kind of defeats the point as it will be a week past the anniversary by then.

Even if we wanted this to happen for it's anniversary, I think it might be best to do it next week so we have a full 7 days of people downloading the song to go toward it's numbers. I'm going to save my story on GDA till Monday.

Yep. I had a story ready to go up, but didn't remember it till yesterday and figured since conversation died off here I wouldn't bother putting it up so late.
