They're either gonna be like the Partridge family on ritalin or the genre will be totally unpredictable. on the front page, i commented that it was going to be like the Partridge family with too much PBR. Okay, Jakob's a little young... (Joey too technically but he's in high school, so... DON'T DRINK OR DO DRUGS KIDS!) I would love it if we're all over-reacting and it turns to be like their christmas card or something. if i had their time/money/talent etc- this would be a wicked silly christmas card, and i would totally do something like that. I can now say from first-hand experience: kids grow up WAY too fucking fast. That being said, I'm squee-ing with delight over this. So, so happy for the Armstrongs...and so rare for a celeb couple to stay committed to each other for so long, forget about raising a great family together. I can only imagine how proud they are of Joey & Jacob. Truth. I am old enough to be their mothers as well (uh, it's a stretch, but i grew up in the Valley, and girls were pregnant in middle school, so...) And also, i've never met any of the GD folks outside of generic autograph signings, but I said hi to Joey at the EA show i went to and THE KID IS GENUINELY A SUPER NICE KID. Polite, willing to talk to everyone, gave everyone his time and attention, dealt with the goofy fangirls with grace, and was just super nice to talk to. Like- a really great kid. Super polite and thankful to everyone. I have said it before- if he is any reflection on his parents- they are super awesome people. And also- they should be proud. Also, that kid is like six inches taller than me and his shoulders are fucking huge (he hugged me.) HOW IN THE FUCK DID HE GET SO GODDAMN BIG??? THAT'S FUCKING CRAZY! About Billie on bass.... why do I remember reading/hearing once a long time ago that when he and Mike first met, they both wanted to play lead guitar, but Billie taught Mike how to play bass a little bit and Mike became the bassist? If you know guitar, picking up simple bass stuff is relatively easy. Being a GOOD bassist is another thing entirely... but for simple pop punk, whatever. All tidy? Or the way it usually is? I didn't recognize Jason without the "robert smith just rolled out of bed" look either.

Are you trying to ruin my life?!", but this family is just so amazing it works. You're going along minding your own business and then they come out with something like this, and it's like " damnit, you're making me love you even more!"

I have no idea why I'm so excited for this, but I am The front cover looks nice, made me think of a Ramones record as well. I'm looking forward to hearing more about this. Adrienne singing, Joey drumming, and Jakob and Billie on guitar/bass? Just the fact they have this family band is awesome already. Since it only says "the Boo" I'm guessing it's a self titled EP/LP? The font on the vinyl reminds me of the the 21CB/AAF one. Anyway, if Adeline Records is the one releasing this, that'd be great.
