Satan Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 See, this is why Luke and I tried to avoid playing "the hits" and tried to go more toward deep cuts, side-projects, related bands, and the Lookout! Records years - stuff that doesn't get much airplay. We figured that if someone just wanted to hear the more well-known tracks, they could do that whenever they wanted. speaking of which, you guys need to do another green day themed show
Brian Gag Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 speaking of which, you guys need to do another green day themed show We're going to hold off on the next one for a little while, considering there was only a 3-4 week gap between the first two. We don't want to overdo it. My next show is going to he holiday-oriented, while I'm unsure what Luke's doing for his next edition. I know he did an amazing tribute to the Kinks last week, and in a couple weeks I'm hitting up a Ramones retrospective. Hypothetically, if there is going to be another Green Day show on WXOU, we'll probably wait two months so it will coincide with a certain holiday. Cigarettes and something-or-another, savvy?

greendaytone Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Sorry to hear this was only available in the US. It's all about worldwide on WXOU! Looking forward to The Ramones show!
koolkev Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 haha I'm in the natural range of this station- like I can listen to it on a real radio But damn, I missed the announcment
Penguin Puffball Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Meh, to the question about iPods and CD's: Chances are, we all own them, but as someone else mentioned, hearing Green Day on the radio is always a nice little surprise.
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 I agree. And as much as I love the WXOU Green Day shows... I think this one was special. This was a major radio station giving them 2 hours of play. That's pretty rare.
