Brian Gag Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I think if there's any important idea to take away from the two Green Day shows that Luke and I have done, it's that radio is still worth saving. Support your local high school radio, community radio, and college radio. You know your favorite bands who "never get played on the radio?" There's probably some high school, college, or community radio disc jockey who plays them on a regular basis, along with similar bands you might not know yet. If that person doesn't exist in your community, be that person. Imagine if just 5-10 percent of GDA/GDC members joined their local school or community radio stations. Think about how awesome that would be.
Brian Gag Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 The "2.5" playlist is coming up tomorrow. I want to write up a bit about each song, including why I picked them.
Heather. Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 How long does that soundcloud link work? I want to know if it's one of those downloads that expires in a week, or if it'll be around a while because I don't have a lot of space on my hard drive and it'd be nice not to have to download it
Fuzz Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Pretty sure it's available until the uploader takes it down. Or if Soundcloud removes it because it has copyrighted music.
Tubbie Head Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I think these guys should be invited to do a Static Noise episode or two...
Heather. Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I think these guys should be invited to do a Static Noise episode or two... Agreed! Get some professionals involved 8P The nerdfest would just be too much to handle.

Brian Gag Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I'm not sure if I'd call Luke or I "professionals." We're a couple geeks on a college radio station. But if I could be involved with an episode of Static Noise somehow, it would make me giddy to no end.
