befgio16 Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I wish I heard more from Nuclear Family to get the lyrics it sounds so gooood XD
whitechristmas Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 For Oh Love, what I hear is: Oh love, oh love Won't you lay down here tonight? Oh light, oh light Please don't pass me by Don't stop, don't stop Don't stop under my touch, Oh light, divine Won't you keep me close to you? Far away, far away, This amazing night, I'm wearing my heart all the time, Far away, far away, This amazing night, To die, my heart, all of it, Oh love, And then, What if God gave time to die? Oh broken And then, Won't you be the (...) Oh louder, Oh louder, What if God gave time to die? Oh darling, Oh darling, Won't you be the light of me? Far away, Far away, This amazing night, I'm wearing my heart all the time, Far away, far away, This amazing night, To die, my heart, all of it, Hear the sound of your love, In the moment of our life, In the book ends of tomorrow, (oh-oh) It's another way to die, Oh love, Oh love, Won't you lay down me tonight? Oh light, Divine, Won't you keep me close to you? Far away, far away, This amazing night, I'm wearing my heart all the time, Far away, far away, This amazing night, To die, my heart, all of it, Far away, far away, This amazing night, To die, my heart, all of it, Far away, far away, This amazing night, To die, my heart, all of it, To die, my heart, all of it, To die, my heart, all of it The bold things are corrections (but I'm probably not right about them, it's just what I hear), and the italicized things are probably really off, but that's what it sounds like to me. Some of these lyrics are probably not right at all. Edit: Please give credit to GDC if you post it anywhere.
Heather. Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 gumwithatwist... those are really beautiful lyrics, and if they're not right, Billie should fix his. It's funny how sometimes our intiial misheard interpretations I think are better than what it turns out to be! Like with Amy, we initially thought that "The record bin's been replaced" was "As the record spins memories fade" and I still think that that's better!

Yeah, our version was so much better. 8) That's actually when I started to like Amy, was when someone posted those lyrics, it's a shame they were wrong.

Like with Amy, we initially thought that "The record bin's been replaced" was "As the record spins memories fade" and I still think that that's better! I feel all warm an fuzzy inside. Billie Joe should use our lyrics. They're much better. I'm surprised no one's done Carpet Diet yet. It's a pretty easy song. Here's my interpretation: Breaking in a sweat, Like a bomb threat, If you're with hatin' out, Nothing left to lose, Didn't make the fuse, Another break in your throw out, Getting off the binge, Get a second wind, Another promise the pain can change, Got a broken wing, Hear the angles sing, When the signal is out of range, Ain't it strange? Ain't it strange? Carpe diem, A battle cry, Are we all too young to die? Ask a reason and no reply, Are we all too young to die? Aching, I'm living, Aching, I'm killing, Express my demons, Alright, Over go the night, Bullies scaping by, Dominating by pacify, Feeling out of look, Where my traffic sunk, When you're feeling so left behind, Getting off the binge, Get a second wind, Another promise the pain can change, Got a broken wing, Hear the angels sing, When the signal is out of range, Ain't it strange? Ain't it strange? Carpe diem, A battle cry, Are we all too young to die? Ask a reason and no reply, Are we all too young to die? Aching, I'm living, Aching, I'm killing, Express my demons, Alright, Aching, I'm living, Aching, I'm killing, Express your demons, Alright, Carpe diem, A battle cry, Are we all too young to die? Ask a reason, And no reply, Are we all to young to die? Carpe diem, A battle cry, Are we all too young to die? Ask a reason, And no reply, Are we all to young to die? I'm pretty sure the italicized lyrics are wrong. Like I said, most of it was pretty easy. Edit: Someone did this alredy. Oops.
Heather. Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 People did throw together Carpe Diem lyrics a while ago (before the Red7 gig, which certainly clarified a lot)... I'm not sure where they are, but I do think they're a tad more accurate than yours. I think "on the touch" in Oh Love is actually "under my touch"... or something closer to that.

It confused me a lot on why there wasn't anything for that. I did search, though. Oh well. Edit: I do remember seeing something now, but I couldn't find it.

Wow, that's awesome that you managed to get that! For me that song's like "oh love bfgbgfjcfg my notspeakingenglish" The only suggestion I'd make is that I thought "daughter" was "darling". But that's probably just my English ears trying to hear English things where everyone else hears "far away" I hear "I'll wait" but I don't think that can be right because no one else hears that

I got kinda confused there, but I heard daughter, so I put that. At first I thought it was "run away, far away." I like that better than "far away, far away." I kinda like doing this stuff. I'm gonna do more! (Hopefully I use the search correctly this time)
Heather. Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Far away far away could be sooo many, also like "Far away, for a day" or anything like that. Gah, this is the kind of song that I think I will love ten times more once I get the lyrics. Like Amy.
whitechristmas Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 This is what I got for the beginning for Amanda. I'm sure it's all right but the stuff I put in parentheses I'm not sure about. Amanda, don't you know, We're all so very wrong. It's all you (yak) about, Well I can't bare this sound. I was a different kid, The beauty isn't gone. I'll keep working on it. This is what I hear for Amanda: Amanda, don't you know, We're all so very wrong, It's all you yak about, Well I can't bare this sound. I was a different kid, The beauty isn't gone, You're a (...) This has gone back, But I ain't gonna understand, Amanda, Couldn't be a friend, Amanda, don't you know, I lost my (...), And in your wild life, I wasn't smarter then, Mass confusion, A face in the misty rain, You're a (...) This the final lie, And I ain't gonna understand, Amanda, Couldn't be a friend. Grab my lyrical lie, Running running for you so, Got my phone by my side, It helps get back. And now I, And I ain't gonna understand, Amanda, Couldn't be a friend. Sorry if some of this is hopelessly wrong; I'm not the best with trying to figure out lyrics. The more I listen to Oh Love, the more I'm staring to think that most of the words for it are "die".
Bundita Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Here are the lyrics to Stay the Night (the Red 7 version). I'm not sure whether all the lyrics are correct, because it was hard to hear some parts from the U Stream. If you guys have any corrections please feel free to change them around. Well I ain't got much time so I'll get to the point Do you wanna share a ride and get the f**k out of this joint I've got an impulse so impulsive that it burns I wanna break your heart until it makes your stomach churn I got to know if you're the one that got away even though it was never meant to be So stay, stay the night Because we're running out of time So stay the night I don't wanna say goodbye x2 I'm just sick and tired of feeling so alone Well I don't understand the point if you have to go home Wont you stay and cure the circles around my eyes Well we can watch the stars until the sun begins to rise I got to know if you're the one one that got away Even though it was never meant to be So stay, stay the night Because we're running out of time So stay the night I don't wanna say goodbye x2
beejeezee Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 I feel all warm an fuzzy inside. Billie Joe should use our lyrics. They're much better. I'm surprised no one's done Carpet Diet yet. It's a pretty easy song. Here's my interpretation: Carpet Diet a battle cry! This rug is shaped like pie! Carpet Diet a battle cry! I really want some Pumpkin Pie! Making the filling, Baking and grilling!
beejeezee Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 OMG! Bwahaha! *coughproudwriterofCarpetDietcough*
melissawebster Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 I'll probably never be able to listen to "Carpe Diem" now without laughing. And I just love "Oh Love." The lyrics are so beautiful. "Stray Heart" is still my favorite though, for the lyrics and the sound. I agree with whoever said the songs sound like they're about a forbidden love. Maybe that's the theme of the next album?
beejeezee Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 I'll probably never be able to listen to "Carpe Diem" now without laughing. I'm sorry.
kellista Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 I think they should replace the Carpe Diem lyrics with yours and make it Carpet Diet. It would be so much better
melissawebster Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 I'm sorry. No worries. I like laughing. I can completely picture Tre Cool singing the lyrics to "Carpet Diet."
beejeezee Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 No worries. I like laughing. I can completely picture Tre Cool singing the lyrics to "Carpet Diet." Oh . . . I always imagined Billie singing them with a mexican accent but ok.
befgio16 Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Anyone have Nuclear Family, Stop When The Red Lights Flash, or Let Yourself Go yet??
melissawebster Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Oh . . . I always imagined Billie singing them with a mexican accent but ok. Haha! That would be so funny. Anyone have Nuclear Family, Stop When The Red Lights Flash, or Let Yourself Go yet?? Yeah, I really want the lyrics to "Nuclear Family." When I went to the Halloween show, I don't remember them even playing it, and people are saying it sounds like the big stadium hit single of the album. And I really want to see the lyrics to "Let Yourself Go." I think Tre Cool wrote that one?
Heather. Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 And I really want to see the lyrics to "Let Yourself Go." I think Tre Cool wrote that one? Where did you hear Tre wrote it??
melissawebster Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Where did you hear Tre wrote it?? I'm pretty sure I read it on a forum.
