Berkeley Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 To be honest, I hope they will be releasing the album first, then doing some smaller gigs like they did last year (well .. a little bigger though), and finally announce a stadium tour for 2013. That would be the best in my opinion. When first their new album gets popular and succesful, Green Day gets new fans all over the world, and they then announce tour dates in real stadiums (Wembley, AWD Arena, Santiago Bernabeau, etc.) their show will soon be sold out. Right now, they'd actually not fill up stadiums in Germany unless they'd just do one concert. They ain't as popular as Coldplay or U2 here in Germany ... That's just what I am hoping for. I think it's a little too early, since they've "just" been here two years ago.

gmcloughlin Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Little over an hour to go. Can't decide if I want them to be headlining or not
San Miguel Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 not long now - will return in an hour to eagerly await the news. i want GD to headline, but if they don't i dunno what that means re their own tour etc..!
jon18 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Green day won't play at Reading Festival. The headliners are the Foo Fighters, Kasabian and the Cure. Efestivals annouced it two week ago. Sorry

jon18 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 We don't know this for sure yet. It hasn't been officially announced, so anything is still possible. Efestivals is very reliable.
colour_me_stupid_ Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Efestivals is very reliable. This. I'll be very surprised if the headliners are anyone else.
San Miguel Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Stereoboard have announced Foo Fighters as first headliner so far... and now Kasabian so looks like the efestivals predictions are right, as most people thought anyway
colour_me_stupid_ Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Kasabian and Foos and The Cure just confirmed on bbc radio 1.
Tre_Gina Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Radio 1 have confirmed Foos, Kasabian, The Cure, Florence, Vaccines, Enter Shikari....I can't remember anyone else at the mo but EFests got headliners right.
Silent Duck Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 My bank account just let out a sigh of relief
Lindsay Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 My bank account just let out a sigh of relief This. If they had been announced I was actually going to consider going.
colour_me_stupid_ Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Parawhore are there too Seriously?! Wow. It's a very disappointing line up so far bar the headliners.
San Miguel Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 This. If they had been announced I was actually going to consider going. so was i !! will still be a great gig for those who are going, seeing Foo Fighters will be pretty awesome. The BIG question of course is where does that leave us re a Green Day tour? a question no one can answer right now and them not playing Reading/Leeds doesn't really tell us much, does it? we need an 8th video!! all too quiet at the moment, but maybe that's because they are working hard
GuitarPunk94 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 thank god we in germany have an epic line-up this year at Rock Am Ring
LittleBoyNamedTrain Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 http://media.livenat...fest_lineup.jpg I think this is the right poster.... Indeed, I posted the Leeds lineup
Silent Duck Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Paramore? Glad I don't have to go now! They should have made Slipknot headliners and put Paramore on right before them!
Tre_Gina Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Indeed, I posted the Leeds lineup yeah I hadn't seen your post...!
colour_me_stupid_ Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Paramore? Glad I don't have to go now! They should have made Slipknot headliners and put Paramore on right before them! I'd be there at the barrier with a nice big bag of rotten fruit Or at least a bored, expressionless face Fairly disappointed overall, if you ask me. Especially considering there is no Glastonbury. Very disappointing indeed.
