Sarcasm Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 is this the original Look for Love? It sounds different.. Or did I just forget the sound of it? xD I hope they play Look for Love live once just for the fun of it.
PlugInBaby Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 YES! What a way to end a Green Day marathon than with my favorite Green Day song!

**nobodylikesyou** Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 is this being recorded? I'm curious as well.
Eldoon Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I was the host for the second half of the programming block. All two hours have been recorded and Brian will upload them to GDC VERY SOON for download. We'd like to thank EVERYONE who tuned in again, and Tony for spreading the word via GDA. It was seriously humbling to get all of you guys participating on Twitter and this very forum. We weren't lying when we said that it was the highest listener peak we've ever seen at WXOU -- listeners literally grew exponentially through the 2 hours, finally peaking at about 209, with GD fans as far as Chile, Brazil, and Holland tuning in. Our Twitter feed was blowing up with new tweets almost by the SECOND, as well, which was super cool. I'm bummed we couldn't extend the show longer, because we really wanted to expand the playlists to fit in more requests. Hopefully the songs we picked out appeased everyone. Thanks again for all the support -- you really made our week!
greendaytone Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 ^ I'm so glad we were able to help get this out to more Green Day fans. Thanks for giving us the heads up. If you decide to do it again some time, do let us know. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole 2 hours, and i was glad you both were there all the way through. You guys know your stuff too. Looking forward to the download, that's great news!
Heather. Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 You guys did an INCREDIBLE job. We can tell you're the Green Day dorks you claimed to be, but the cool thing is that you have an outlet for it. And a worldwide one, apparently! Cheers, boys!
Brian Gag Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 In case you missed the shows today, or in case you just wanted to know what Luke and I played post-facto, here's the entirety of our radio sets from 3-5 PM. greendaytone Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 We enjoyed it as much as you guys! Are you still working on a download for it?
Brian Gag Posted November 8, 2011 Author Posted November 8, 2011 I''ll look into it. I know our shows are automatically archived, so all I would need to do is bring a USB drive in. But on the other hand, I don't want the RIAA, ASCAP, BMI, and several labels all deciding to have their way with me.

Tubbie Head Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Oh, it's awesome that it was recorded! Thanks very much. This must have been great, I wasn't able to tune in and listen with all of you
Brian Gag Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 I just talked with Luke. We're definitely doing a follow-up show so we can play a lot of the things we weren't going to play. It's never a good feeling not being able to accommodate requests, so we figure we at least owe you guys another two hours. As with before, the focus won't just be on Green Day themselves, but also on other things the guys have done in their careers, collaborations, bands who have covered Green Day songs, and the like. If Billie, Mike, Tre or Jason had something to do with it, we'll play it. And as always, we love tweets and texts. There's no date for the second Green Day-related show yet, but it'll most likely happen in the next few weeks. Luke and I are still positively beaming from the reception our last show got. I've said it a lot before, but I'm going to say it again: You guys are awesome. Every last one of you. As for a recording of the 11/7 show, I still want to stay on the right side of the law. So here's what I can do for you: In the next few days, I'm going to upload an mp3 of just the "talky" bits of the show. Separately, I'm going to make either a Grooveshark or a Spotify playlist containing all of the music we played. The two combined will pretty much be like listening to the show.
Brian Gag Posted November 27, 2011 Author Posted November 27, 2011 ...some of you might want to tune in tomorrow at about 3 EST. Just sayin'.
Heather. Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Thanks for the tip! Can you tell us if there's any progress on uploading the first show? (Or did I miss that somewhere?) I was really hoping to listen to it again.
