beejeezee Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Favorite Son on American Idiot. Why is it a b-side?????
Brigister Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Walking Alone and On The Wagon could be on Warning. FOD, Platypus and Take Back on Insomniac.
Heather. Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 I know this is completely premature, but I was just listening to Horseshoes and Handgrenades and thinking "Man, this could be on Dos!" Which is completely ridiculous because I haven't heard Dos yet, and the only songs on it that I know are Fuck Time and Amy.... but it's definitely got the Fuck Time, gritty, party vibe! ... and unlike the rest of 21CB, it's actually FUN Plus, it was written way before most of the 21CB songs, which shows it came out of a different era of thought, and didn't need to be on that album at all. They could have easily saved it for Dos and we'd never complain... it might've even gotten a bit more love had it been saved for Dos.
green day is Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Macy's Day Parade and Chump on American Idiot. Maybe with a brighter guitar sound on Chump.
Rusty Hart Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Desentized and Suffocate on Nimrod.. the sounds is similar like other Nimrod songs... Words I might have ate maybe on Nimrod
Heather. Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 It's really hard for me to imagine any of the Lookout songs on any albums other than those two. Although I do think No One Knows was ahead of its time That and Rest. I love both of those songs, but I don't think they really fit on ANY Green Day album!

Insomniac1984 Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Well, let's think about it!! * Maria on 1000 hours EP (Good solos on that EP) * Prosthetic Head (Wide mix version) on Insomniac (The way that sound the drums and guitar make me feel that is a song from Insomniac) * You lied on Nimrod * J.A.R. and Do da da (At least, this one was a japanese bonus track) on Insomniac * When it's time on American Idiot. * Deadbeat Holiday on Nimrod * Broadway from Foxboro's maybe on 21stCB??? (Actually that song sounds more like Green Day) * Minnesota Girl on 21stCB * The ballad of Wilhelm Fink on Shenanigans * Scumbag on Nimrod * Rotting on Dookie * One of my lies on Dookie * What about today on Insomniac. * Lights out on Insomniac or maybe Nimrod. * Letterbomb on Nimrod See you
StuckWithInsomnia Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 I think all their singles would fit rather nicely on International Superhits :3 Nah jks, J.A.R would go well on Nimrod, Pulling Teeth on Warning, most of the songs fit their albums perfectly
burnout409 Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown are both very interchangeable Dookie, Insomniac, Kerplunk, 39 Smooth are very interchangeable Warning, Nimrod, American Idiot, are interchangeable to a certain extent If you pick 2 songs and the albums they're on corresponds with the above, then i would say for the most part it would fit on that album. (If what I'm trying to say makes sense)
Todd Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 1,039/Smooth and Kerplunk are quite similar in style, so I guess you could swap pretty much any track from one album to the other. no you can't 39/smooth sounds completely different than kerplunk. I know all you people that dont listen to these alot think they sound the same, but they have completely different vibes. First of all, one has John on drums and the other has Tre on drums. That already makes a huge difference. Set the EPs aside, cause each one of those has its own feel too, and 1039 was a shitty compilation. 1000 Hours is all love songs, Slappy is all "Why?" songs, Sweet Children are raw, completely random, un-understandable lyrics. 39/smooth is about being a teenager. Kerplunk is about becoming an adult. Songs like Android, WWHC?, WIMHA all prove that. One does not simply combine 39+Kerplunk
VisionsofGreenDay115 Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 I don't know, but I think "Good Riddance (time of your life)" should go at the end of Nimrod I have always felt the same way!! But there is something about it being the second to last that gets us all. And thats why I have no problem with it not being last.

GR33NDAYIDIOT Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 I remember listening to Platypus(I Hate You), which is on Nimrod for those of you who don't know, and thinking it would really go well on Insomniac because of the angry lyrics. I later found out it was originally supposed to be on Insomniac, but Warner Bros. didn't want so much bad language on the record. I learned this by listening to Static Noise. If you guys haven't given it a listen you should. You can learn a lot of cool stuff, and even if you don't I promise you'll get a good laugh.

Todd Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Cool story, bro. Tel us more. Well, lets compare opening songs. At the library is about someone you barely know, but instantly fall in love with. 2000 LYA. Is about Billie being separated from 80, only getting to see her on tours. He thinks about her all the time and longs to see her again. Dont leave me is about a girlfriend that Billie said he had in 7th grade, who cant make up her mind wether or not to leave Billie, while Billie angrily pleads her not to go. One for the razorbacks........Do I need to keep going?

I have no problem with you wanting to share your opinion, but don't take away from another persons opinion or pretend your so above anyone else here or anywhere!

Todd Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Obviously all the b-sides can go on their respective albums, tired of waiting for you on dookie, i want to be on tv on insomniac, espionage on nimrod, outsider on warning, you get the point.
ThibautDookie Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Good Riddance should have been on Dookie, right after All By Myself, to end the album. It was written during the Dookie Era, i don't know why they didn't put it on Dookie.

Like, Billie said he started it in 92 but didn't finish it til long after. Wait - was that Scattered or Good Riddance?
