Sarabeth Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I usually just listen to my iPod on shuffle and since Green Day, Tubbies, etc. is 40% of my music (I just pulled out Andres' calculator to do the math), then that means I listen to them the most. Sometimes if I notice my iPod hasn't played a certain song in a while then I go and listen to it and sometimes I listen to an album on my CD player when I'm doing chores or something. But I don't go out of my way to make sure I listen to Green Day.

Sometimes i go on benders where that's all i listen to, all day (i just made a new GD mix cd for the car, so that was one of those benders.) When i need to get pumped at practice or before a show, i listen to Green Day. But- i go on benders with other stuff too. It depends a lot on what i am doing in the studio too. Like if i'm trying to come up with a new act, i will tend to drown myself in a short playlist of songs trying to get an idea. That's what i've been doing this week- with the Black Keys, and some Depeche Mode and Pixies. I am also known for going on similar benders with Tom Waits... . He is probably the artist i listen to and obsess over as much as Green Day (though probably a little less.)
Katarina. Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 It depends. I used to listen to Green Day non-stop, or just most of the time. Now that I know of more bands I love so much, I still listen to Green Day pretty much every day, but together with bands like The Living End, Replacements and the Clash. The "listening to Green Day non-stop" time comes back every time Green Day is about to release a new record though, haha.
burnout409 Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I listen to them every day and i listen to them more than any other band, but sometimes there will be a day or a week when i will be really into another Artist/Album and in that time I'll listen to the other artist more but, the vast majority of the time i will listen to Green Day a lot more!

Laura! Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I have my ipod/itunes on shuffle all the time, and they come up a lot. I must listen to at least 2 songs a day. They are the band I listen to most but they are followed closely by Third Eye Blind.

Always listen to my ipod on shuffle, and since Green Day dominate my collection, i'll have a Green Day song come on every 4 or 5 songs. I'm kind of amazed that i still get the same enjoyment out of listening to them after 15 odd years of listening to some of them!
uhleckseee Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I get in Green Day binges where I'll listen to one album in my car for a couple of days straight, but other than that I listen to them every couple days or so. I think about their music all the time or hum along to it though. I get on other binges for bands though and do the same thing with them....right now it's Depeche Mode, and they also have a LOT of music, so it might be a while...lol

But Green Day still dominate my iPod, so I'd occasionally come across a song that I haven't heard in ages and listen to it.

I used to listen to them a lot more, but that'll probably change again once they'll release a new record. During that time I listen to them 24/7.

Sometimes I'll be in a mood to listen to a full album like I did the other day. I can't go a day without listening to at least 1 song.

My iphone playlist consists of Green Day (plus FBHT, Frustrators and Pinhead Gunpowder) and about 5 other bands so that's always what I listen to when I walk or travel somewhere. I tend to sometimes skip the other bands Today I've been blasting Green Day at home for like... 12 hours

I only really listen to Green Day, if not them it's Foxboro Hot Tubs, The Network, Emilys Army or The Frustrators. Mainly, it's Green Day. The only non Green Day related songs on my iPod are the Nyan cat song, downtown by petula Clark in German and the four chords song. The rest is related to Green Day somehow.

And then there are times when I'm in the mood for listening to music from a specific decade or genre, in which case, Green Day won't necessarily fit the bill. However, even when I'm not in full-on Green Day mode, I usually end up listening to them at least once a week, even if it's only a song or two. Overall, I definitely listen to Green Day more than any other artist. The only other band that even comes close is My Chemical Romance. Last.fm backs me up on this (Actually, if you look at my profile, it lists MCR as my most played artist, but that's only because it counts the Network, Foxboro Hot Tubs, etc as different artists. But I have totalled them up on my own time, and they are definitely first )
