I looked into why I wasn't able to go to this and its some black tie event where only super rich people or celebrity's get to go. I actually heard that tickets were like $1000 each so... I called up my friend who was the head usher at the Kennedy center and turns out the bitch got fired (she actually is a bitch so i can say that )

Um... as a donor of the Kennedy Center, tickets ranged between $50 and $150, not $1000. Heh... I was previously going to go but I'm in New York that weekend so I didn't buy a ticket. They're sold out now.

They're pretty tight with security and I don't know if the band would even spend the night. They could come in & play and be off. Plus, it's at the Concert Hall which doesn't have an external stage door thus making it harder to catch them going in or out. Just saying.

I've just thought through it again and I'd say it wouldn't make any sense if they come up after a year break and play "21 Guns" or so. There must be a reason why they are performing. They haven't been on stage since a "long" time and this show doesn't seem to be reason for a break from the break, yknow. I really hope they'll announce something, or play a new song and do something a few days later as a big announcement. Maybe the interview next week will tell more.

Using this event to announce something for themselves and take the spotlight away from him would be really big headed and inappropriate. I guess they could play a new song (as long as they didn't mention it was new and try to make a big thing out of it), but I can't see them announcing anything at this event.

Ahh I see, yeah if it was just a general comedy awards there wouldn't be anything wrong with making an announcement. I'm thinking East Jesus Nowhere is most likely, either recreating the cowbell thing or doing something else with it. But who knows. Plus if they have got anything interesting to announce there's always Billie's interview.
