DoodleBob Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 If you were a rock band in the nation's capital, where you go? lol They would probably be at a bar.
Burnout98 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 This performance will be awesome! That cowbell video is one of my favourite live moments of Green Day
Bastard of 1967 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Why not? You gonna pay my MegaUpload account bill for this year? I've got better things to do with a few gigabytes of disk space.
plaid ducky Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 I looked into why I wasn't able to go to this and its some black tie event where only super rich people or celebrity's get to go. I actually heard that tickets were like $1000 each so... I called up my friend who was the head usher at the Kennedy center and turns out the bitch got fired (she actually is a bitch so i can say that ) So idk what I'm gonna do that day. Have no idea where they'll be. If you were a rock band in the nation's capital, where you go? lol Um... as a donor of the Kennedy Center, tickets ranged between $50 and $150, not $1000. Heh... I was previously going to go but I'm in New York that weekend so I didn't buy a ticket. They're sold out now. They're pretty tight with security and I don't know if the band would even spend the night. They could come in & play and be off. Plus, it's at the Concert Hall which doesn't have an external stage door thus making it harder to catch them going in or out. Just saying.

Do you know how much money you have to donate to qualify as a donor? A lot.
plaid ducky Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Do you know how much money you have to donate to qualify as a donor? A lot. $60. That's how much I paid. That's not a lot.
Margo 39 smooth Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 $60. That's how much I paid. That's not a lot. $60 dollars qaulify's you as a donor??? Someone told me it had to be like thousands. Edit: I just checked the site....how did I know not this!?!
PasalacquaBomb Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Can't wait to see this. Soo excited to know what they'll be playing. And I'd say that'd be a good occasion to announce a new album.

Congrats on going. That really is awesome!
Dreamer on the Run Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 hah thank you! Im really excited! I will definitely post as many details I can remember.
Zelda Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Will Ferrel is funny, and it's fucking Green Day. Therefore it will be an amazing performance, as usual.

in_your_face Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 have fun to all those attending this show!
PasalacquaBomb Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I've just thought through it again and I'd say it wouldn't make any sense if they come up after a year break and play "21 Guns" or so. There must be a reason why they are performing. They haven't been on stage since a "long" time and this show doesn't seem to be reason for a break from the break, yknow. I really hope they'll announce something, or play a new song and do something a few days later as a big announcement. Maybe the interview next week will tell more.

They're performing for Will Ferrell though. The whole evening is to honour him. Using this event to announce something for themselves and take the spotlight away from him would be really big headed and inappropriate. I guess they could play a new song (as long as they didn't mention it was new and try to make a big thing out of it), but I can't see them announcing anything at this event.

I completely agree, Hermione.

I thought it was a comedy award in general, not only for Will Ferrell. Indeed that'd be big headed, so the chance is still good for a new song I think. With a big announcement coming a few days later on greenday.com.

That'd be realistic, but we don't know if they already have and want to announce something.

Ahh I see, yeah if it was just a general comedy awards there wouldn't be anything wrong with making an announcement. I'm thinking East Jesus Nowhere is most likely, either recreating the cowbell thing or doing something else with it. But who knows. Plus if they have got anything interesting to announce there's always Billie's interview.
Tubbie Head Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 They don't need to announce anything IN the show, they just need to play a new song and then annouce it on GD.com !! Then everybody will be happy
lizziebix Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 They should announce it (whatever it is!) on GDA.
Margo 39 smooth Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 I just realized they're gonne be here this weekend, or maybe just sunday, so i'm gonna go down and check out the Occupy Wall street protests, probably photograph em, and keep an eye out

About 60 blocks apart?
