DannyDirnt Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 But Billie has sung SOOOO much solo! Would be something special, different, and more fair for Tré and Mike imo. They should be able to sing a bit and have their glory moment.I don't find it okay that Billie's moment to shine is all the time,Tré's is Dominated Love Slave or All By Myself, and Mike's is "Shout",only sometimes and it's just a cover, and Modern World.Billie is very good, sure, but I want to see more on what Tré and Mike can do.

I know what you mean . I'd love to hear more of Mike and Tré, like in Homecoming, but Billie's the lead singer and the three of them are agree with it. It has always been like this, so in the the end, it's not what we want, it's their way to work and what they feel comfortable with.
biwic Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 I don't care for tre' or mike singing on their own so much, but it'd be cool for Mike to do the harmonies like they used to.
Scarlett93 Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 today on a local newspaper's from Peru they interviewed one of the business men that brings bands here and he said that they have offered him Green Day for October , and it's for sure that they will be here by the end of the year (fingers crossed)
Lindsay Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Yeah,I think Green Day needs to be more equilibrated.Y'know,Billie has sung enough alone, now I think I would be time for Mike to sing some leads too,and maybe Tré would do good too.Maybe would be awesome that, for example: If the album had 15 songs, that Billie sang 5,Mike sang other 5 and Tré sang the other 5.That way, each of them would have time to shine and get some credit,I'm pretty sick of people thinking of Green Day as Billie. But well,to be honest I prefer bands with no frontman.I'd like that Mike and Tré showed off too.Don't get me wrong,Billie is epic, but at this point I think we've seen already a lot from him.We need to give some opportunity to Mike and Tré.I'd personally love seeing Mike singing a solo song, and talking with the audience,y'know, doing what Billie does, and finnally GETTING SOME ATTENTION! In my opinion,Tré and Mike don't get the attention and credit that deserve at all. ...there's a reason why Mike is a bassist and Tré is a drummer. That's the way bands work. You're always going to have your frontman/guitarist, bassist, and drummer. I mean, yes I'd love to have another song like Homecoming where they each have a part in it, or if Mike even had more harmony parts on the next album, but I duno, splitting an album so they each have lead vocals on different songs would be very confusing and too scattered in my opinion, and it'd be hard to pull off performing that live. I personally don't just see Billie as Green Day, they all play an equal part in the band because they all contribute essential things that a band needs.
Annie, get your gun Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Tres años de tour... Sorry, I wrote like this because of all this 'titles' excitement
Raven93 Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Since there will be 3 albums coming out - I think they will tour after !TRE¡ - I just hope it is the same experience as the 21st CB world tour but bigger
Lindsay Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 I think they might do a little bit of touring in between albums, but I don't see them announcing a world tour until just before or shortly after ¡Tre¡ comes out.
Bam-Itz-GreenDay Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 I think they might do a little bit of touring in between albums, but I don't see them announcing a world tour until just before or shortly after ¡Tre¡ comes out. Thats what I was thinking. They will probably play like little shows in Cali inbetween the albums and then once ¡TRE! Is out they will probably announce a tour (like you said)
DannyDirnt Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Idk but when they come to Spain I just HAVE TO go to their concert! I have the feeling this tour is gonna be Green Day's best tour ever and I'd never forget if I missed it!
Mary Daze Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Am I the only one that thinks that they will add some more (maybe UK-) tour dates for September? Idk. Most people think they will start touring after Dos! or Tré!.. I thougt they are almost done with recording the three albums, so the have time to go on tour.. But I might be wrong. We never know with these guys The thing that is the most oh-my-god-ish with this tour is, that they'd announced the tour dates for festivals in Japan, France, Germany and Italy at first. And don't forget about the two GD concerts in Germany they'd announced! So no tour dates for the UK or the US, not even for CA. imo that's really oh-my-god-ish
netty Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 you guys don`t think they will tour until after the third one??? I would be seriously surprised if they leave it that long! mind you, I swore black and blue the three album thing was a huge piss take!
agrizotti Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 I wonder how the setlist will be like now that they'll have SO MANY new songs to choose. I hope that "traditionals" parts of the show, like King For a Day and Good Riddance won't be cut off.
Clayish Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 This tour is gonna be crazy. I want the order to be radically different. Probably going to open up with a new song, followed by more new tunes, then I have no idea. I want the first encore to be 21st Century Breakdown though, and they close with Holden Caulfield or Pasalaqcua.
The Pedestrian Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 I want the first encore to be 21st Century Breakdown though, and they close with Holden Caulfield or Pasalaqcua. Mixing it up would be cool but I reckon Green Day will probably always end their shows with Good Riddance won't they?
Harry Potter. Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Mixing it up would be cool but I reckon Green Day will probably always end their shows with Good Riddance won't they? I think that's one of the unchangable things about Green Day. Good Riddance, y'know?
Moyeszet Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Yes, I think they will always keep Good Riddance as an ending song...anyways it's such a symbol they just CAN'T change it. It would be sacrilege
Annie, get your gun Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Now that I remember, after the new album comes out they always do a couple shows playing the record front to back, now they'll have 3 to play. Before it took 2 1/2 - 3 hours, now it'd be like 5!! I think they did this with all the intention haha They always want to play more and longer! Though I'd like if they change the final song. Good Riddance is great every time, but I think it will be more awesome if they play a newbie
gd86arg Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 this. Going to Pasalacqua and 2000LYA would be perfection. CHRISTIE ROAD AND WAITING would be perfection :3
Rianne Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 It's pretty obvious things are going to be changed! I hope they keep playing Good Riddance, King For A Day and Jesus Of Suburbia. And I'm just waiting for something bad to happen in my life. Somehow, everytime I go see Green Day, something is going really bad in my life... :/ But it's ok, cause then I feel fucked up, and when I see Green Day, I'm always like: oh what the hell, I'll get through it!
gmcloughlin Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Jack from All Time Low just tweeted this: Just booked a couple European shows with Greenday/Angels and Airwaves. Fucking amazing!
