They owe Italy a concert.. Stupid 4th July 2010.. I hope they'll do at least 1 or 2 dates here.

I can't wait to hear the new album! It seems like they're getting back to their roots a little bit with this studio work. Anyway It would be awesome if they played old stuff too, especially some songs from Insomniac (just my opinion) and some "new" stuff like Jesus of Suburbia and Give me Novacaine.

I need to see JoS live .________.

And from the new record I already love Stay the Night

For the tour itself I hope that they are playing in Russia.

I mean, yeah, I could write something like 'More dates for Germany!!!' and some shit like that, but I'm very happy with the Germany-dates they've played during the 21stCB tour and I think there will be enough dates for this tour, too. But for cities and countries where never (or not that often) has been a Green Day concert before.. I hope there will be one :)

-crappy english over  -

oh id cry for sure, if they drop king for a day/shout. last tour was amazing cuz they snuck covers into that song. i hope they keep that up

They absolutely need to keep K4AD/covers. It's just so typical of their shows, the insaneness of the situations that brings.

Classics like Longview and all have to be there, because it's not a Green Day show if they're not there. I think the 21STCBD scheme was good, except cutting into HAR like said before.

For the dates, I don't care, as long as they come in to Paris. France is not really rich in Green Day fans anyways.

noob question alert!

how long before a tour do they normally announce it?

A lot of songs need to be dropped from the setlist, add F.O.D, plenty of songs from Insomniac and Warning to the setlist, change up the order of the classics, end the show with either Pasalacqua or Holden Caulfield.

I'd personally like them to have bigger shows (so that I'd actually have a chance of getting a ticket :S). If I wasn't always the last to know when they're on tour, I think playing in smaller places would be amazing. I was too young to see them on their American Idiot tour, so I have no idea what that was like, but I went to go see them after 21st Century Breakdown came out, and I think that the background effects were pretty cool and that it went well with the rock opera concepts. I think that if they DON'T do a rock opera this time, so many effects might not be necessary, not that they were particularly necessary last time either. I also wish they'd play a few older songs. When I went to see them they played all the older hits, like Basket Case and When I Come Around, but I think it'd be really great to hear some 1,089/Smooth or Kerplunk stuff live (although Tre did sing Dominated Love Slave, which is always a plus).

I wanna hear them play more older stuff like Going to Pasalacpua and and at the library, they only played them at randoms shows during the 21stcb tour, it'd be great to hear Walking contradiction since they haven't touched it in years. I hope they don't drop Are we the waiting/St.Jimmy....

I don't think they are going to have them, at least not mas much than in the 21st CB tour, the realise of this album seems so vintage, so imo, it'd be nonsense to have a lor of technology if your music is trying to recall the old times.

MORE COWBELL

as in they should bring a cowbell player with them :P

Lmao imagine being at a GD gig and seeing Will Ferrell randomly walk out on stage and start playing the cowbell?

Yeah, I think that they'll go back to how they would tour before American Idiot and 21st CB, or at least not have as much as last time. I don't think there's as much point to it now, because with a rock opera, it makes you think of something huge and enormous and well...show-y. It was a cool show, but they don't need it. They're brilliant at playing live without it.

Well for 21st CB UK tour it was six months....

As for me: As long as they keep playing We Are The Waiting then I don't care. :P

thanks Bryony, i hope that means we hear something about it by say end of March. i guess it all depends on how quickly they finish the new album tho, and when the label thinks it right to release it etc...

When they came to Edmonton (which they better come back again for this record) it was like 2 months and a half notice.

They should replace JoS with Homecoming instead this tour.

considering that it was never released as a single, and that it's 2 albums back + the fact that they almost never ever play it live, I'd say chances for that are pretty slim.. But I'm hoping for that as well, it's one of the most awesome GD songs overall!

I want to see them get the hang of playing Misery live.. I've herd a clip where it went terrible, and seen a video of the Milton Keynes sound check where Billie tried to play it, but it wasn't impressive.

Why not playing both? I mean, I really love Homecoming, from the beggining to the end, every single chord, but JOS is just amazing, I want to see it played live.

I hope Green Day will come to Sweden and play at Ullevi stadium in Gothenburg again! it was so awesome. I heard that people who saw them in Stockholm in 2009, in Globen, thought Ullevi was better, since it was outside.

So yeah, I hope they play concerts outside.. like stadiums, festivals and places like Milton Keynes and stuff :D

Unless the next album is a rock opera, either way those New York City themed building lights they had for the opening of the 21stCB tour was amazing.

I want more old songs live! MOAR! :3 And also a stage that is near enough to me. If they did one in Italy it wasn't near enough to me, that would piss me off.

I would love to see dates also for FHT :)

according to rumours on sites about Leeds and Reading festivals they are touring in the UK in September this year. only rumours at this time but would be great if it's true. hope we hear something in say a month's time.

I REALLY hope that is true. Can't wait to go back to England to see them again!
