Expectations for the next Green Day Worldwide Tour

I hope they rent the stadium here instead of the concert hall in the Capital.

On the world tour they had a show in the concert hall, sure it was great, but a few months later when they played the stadium, it was magical, much better sound, room for more than thrice as many, the show lasted longer and people went more crazy because they actually could breathe.

I expect them to play It's Fuck Time, I don't care if it's not a GD song, it's a fucking fabulous song that makes the crowd go wild. I'm still waiting to see them play Misery live. All I've ever found is a sound check clip from Milton Keynes, that's not enough xD

Well, obviously I expect them to come down to South America again, but this time I wish they could play in stadiums. Imagine them playing at the Morumbi Stadium or River Plate Stadium. Completely insane! Or at Rock in Rio, idk :)

And how cool would be if they play at Knebworth?

All of you Bay Area fans will probably agree with me on this one. During the AI tour in 2004-05, the band played AT&T park and Oakland Colosseum. During 21st CB however they played....The Arco Arena.....HP Pavilion...see where i'm going? Why not get back to playing at those big Bay Area stadiums? I'd love to see Green Day at AT&T Park, The mosh pits would be awesome :D

I think I posted here before, but oh well.

please let them come back to latin America, for more than just one date in central america!

^ They loved Argentina, you should contact some other GD geeks and make a video. "Come to us Green Day. You're our only hope", star wars style :3

I think a stadium tour the best for a band that is this famous. If they only played small clubs, there'd be thousands of disappointed people who weren't able to get a ticket.

But I'd like to see them play some "secret shows" before the actual tour like they did before 21st CB was released. :)

I really liked the way the concerts were set up during the 21st CB tour... you know, new songs, old songs, encore, acoustic encore and from time to time a rarely played song as a surprise. You never knew what you'd get and I loved that. And I really, really hope they'll leave the acoustic encore the way it was, because I really enjoyed it.

uhuhuh I like this thread!

I am sure it will be a really good tour!! Even better than the 21st CBD tour, and that was my favourite of all until now!

The reason why I think it might even top that one, is that they seem to be having such a great time with the new album! From the surprise shows you can really tell they are all being spontaneous, having fun on-stage and also the new songs are going to be a BLAST!

I die with you :D

I hope green day´s sound will be more "back to the roots", sth. between insomniac and nimrod with a little bit american idiot would be perfect

that they'd tour places they never went to before, like my country. :(

They should support themselves as FBHT at every gig like they did in Manchester ;)

More AZ shows.

In 3 years they only came here twice, or come in November instead of middle August ya know?

They will, don't worry. My guess is 4-6 shows. :)

For this tour I'd like them to drop JOS and most of the 21CBD songs in favor of the older, and lesser known songs (But Basket Case, Longview, When I Come Around, Holiday, WMUWSE etc.), also I would like to see alot of the newer songs played as well (I have high hopes for this record). They should ditch the uniforms as well, it seems so much more natural when they're playing with normal clothes rather than the whole AI/21stCBD getup.

they just have to play in Mainz, Germany again..it was just awesome, the crowd and the band and the whole thing..pretty sure one of the best concerts they played in the 21CB era

MORE COWBELL

as in they should bring a cowbell player with them :P

I'm content with a show in Argentina. Two or three wouldn't be bad though... :shy:

Oh I hope they never drop JoS! But I agree that I'd rather them drop some 21CB over the older songs, which I assume is what will happen considering the last tour was for that album. I'm undecided about the whole uniform thing though. From the genre of the music it seems we're going to get from the new album I think there's a possibility they're going to be in more normal clothes, not sure how I feel about it though, it'd be weird.

I'm pretty certain they'll be coming to the UK, haha, it'd be good to go travel to see them in some other European countries as well though. Y'know, if I win the lottery.

I really only care about them keeping songs if they have fun/cool traditions attached to them so if they keep King For A Day/Shout, Brain Stew/Jaded, Longview (or Knowledge or another song where they bring people up to play), East Jesus Nowhere, St Jimmy, Hitchin A Ride (unless they keep doing that thing where they stop after the first part and cut to another song instead of doing the awesome climax of HAR, no point in doing the build up without the climax so they might as well not play it if they're gonna do that) and Good Riddance I'll be very happy. Other than that I don't mind what they drop. I might actually cry if they drop King For A Day though.

Totally agree. Even as the 21st CB tour went on you could see they were having more and more fun towards the end. The idea that it might be even better than last time is mindblowing! Can't wait.
