i soo want to see WTP live..they didnt play it in cologne 09 and mainz 10 :S

today evening the german TV channel 'VIVA' aired the MTV World Stage: Green Day again..

after seeing it again, i wonder how the setlists at the next world tour will be like...normally the band has 1 album with ~15 new songs they can possibly play along with some best of's and rare oldschool stuff

but usually a GD setlist consists ~30 songs..and the trélogy will have 36songs..it would be an awesome dream to come true if GD would play even longer shows than they do now and play a lot of their new songs and their old ones+best ofs :bunny:

I haven't been to my first Green Day concert yet. :sorry:

I just wish that they come to Finland (or Sweden), so I'd have a chance to go to my first Green Day concert.

I wonder how the upcoming tour is gonna be. Last tour they were dressed up, had big screens and awesome stage production. I wonder if they will continue with that or if the next tour they'll go out in street clothes, and a very basic stage set up like they had at NSSN in December.

I'd love that they played I Was There :D And don't get me wrong, I do think they are going to South America again!

I was just thinking the other day, which song will Green Day open with on the pre-Uno shows/festivals?

Back in 2004 before the release of American Idiot they played AI (the song) followed by older songs only.

Oh Love isn't great opener, is it? Is there even a band out there who starts their show with the last track off their newest album :P?

I also doubt they'll start with a new song nobody knows like Nuclear Family, that'd be pretty awkward, nobody singing along.

Maybe just SOTC/21stCB again? I actually don't really expect that either..

I've got only one expectation: concert in Poland. No matter in which city, no matter what songs, just here. To tell the truth I will be able in October and later to go to Germany or to Czech Republik to see Green Day, but I think it's really unfair that they played 3 times in Germany during the second part of European tour and no one time in Poland. We've been waiting for 7 years!

You're right, it IS unfair, but you know what? It's not Green Day, it's the music industry. Germany comes after the US and the UK with stuff like that.

I hate it. Well, it is good for us german people and as well for everybody in the US or UK, but it's unfair. There has never been a Green Day concert in India or Russia (if i'm not totally wrong), but I think that has something to do with the government or other political influences. It's annoying, there are so many fans in these countries too. =/

I wish that changes at least someday.

I hope they come to Finland again. That's pretty much it until I hear the new albums. I'm sure they will have songs that I desperately want to hear live.

I expect a concert that begins with Tré opening up the concert by parachuting down to the stage from a hot air balloon wearing a cowboy hat and a fire-fighter's uniform while "Jackass" plays in the background, then as he lands, the entire cast of the American Idiot musical pops up from the stage floor carrying Tré's drumkit, laying it in place while Tré shoots bananas into the crowd using a banana gun. Then when Tré gets in place, he starts playing an epic drum solo that beats all the worlds best drum solos put together, and Billie Joe and Mike drive out on stage with bumper carts and start shooting each other with toy pellet guns, and afterwards, they get their gear and start playing like they've never played before. :toocool:

During It's Fuck Time, they need to pull up two people on stage and make them have sex.

Probably I am a minority, but I would like them to stop playing longview, hitchin' a ride, brain stew/jaded, know your enemy and even I wouldn't mind to lose Holiday too.

I don't want know your enemy because is one of the worst songs of 21CB and, even though it sounds awesome live, other songs would sound even better. Holiday...I love it, but I wouldn't mind to eliminate it since it can leave place for other great songs. About the other songs, they are the ones that have been played in the 95% of their concerts during the last 3 tours, and that's a long time. I love those songs, and I really enjoy listening to them live, but they are stucked on those particular songs, and I would love to listen to Nice guys finish last, the grouch, chump, burnout, deadbeat holiday, waiting, walking contradiction, 86, Pasalacqua...

Probably the american fans won't agree with me since Green Day has played great concerts there, with a huge amount of "untypical" and old songs, but we, the european fans, aren't so lucky and listening to those songs would be a dream come true.

Apart from that, the songs I would love to listen would be the next:

1039/SOSH- Going to Pasalacqua, Paper Lanterns

Kerplunk- One of my Lies, Christie Road, Words I might have ate, who wrote Holden Caulfield?, 2000 Lightyears Away

Dookie- When I Come Around, , Burnout, Chump , Welcome to Paradise (obviously, Basket Case and She too)

Insomniac- Walking Contradiction, Stuck with me, 86, Geek Stink Breath

Nimrod- Nice Guys Finish Last, The Grouch, Walking Alone, Reject (practically the whole album, I love it)

Warning- Waiting, Minority, Deadbeat Holiday, Macy's Day Parade

AI- American Idiot, JOS, Letterbomb, Whatsername

21CB-Viva La Gloria, Murder City, The Static Age

Just yes! :D

I think before people have a chance to digest the albums, Welcome to Paradise would make a great opening track as it always has. American Idiot and Song of the Century / 21st Century Breakdown "the songs" had their place in time.

I wouldn't mind losing KYE, The Static Age, Brainstew/Jaded, 21 Guns, EJN, and I'm kinda undecided about King For A Day...
