you guys don`t think they will tour until after the third one??? I would be seriously surprised if they leave it that long!

mind you, I swore black and blue the three album thing was a huge piss take!

Netty!!!! I've missed you.

That said. I don't think they will do any proper tours in between the release of the new albums. However I do think that they'll be announcing more scattered shows here and there in addition to the festivals and the two shows in Germany already announced. I mean they must play a few shows in California, New York and at least the UK before all 3 albums are released by next year. But I think for a proper, long and exhausting world wide tour they'll wait until after all 3 albums are out.

And I cannot stress this enough. I hope they'll think of South America a bit faster now, and not keep us waiting for more than a decade to have them include us in their tour again. I hope we made enough of a good impression when they were here in 2010, so they'll want to stop by again like say... next year? Or even this one, I wouldn't complain if they decided to play one of these spanished-anmed albums front to back in these spanish-speaking lands.

I wonder how the setlist will be like now that they'll have SO MANY new songs to choose. I hope that "traditionals" parts of the show, like King For a Day and Good Riddance won't be cut off.

I don't think Good Riddance could ever be cut off... is such a classic, and a perfect song to end a great concert really.... but in all due honesty I could do without King for a Day, it's about the only part of their show that gets a bit old after seeing it a few times, kinda like the masturbation bit during Hitchin' a Ride, which they did cut off.

I expect to hear Deadbeat Holiday at any show I go to. And I will do whatever it takes to hear it. 8)

I just want them to come to Central America, for more than one show!

I'm just waiting for a UK show. Don't care where in the country, just one and I'll be there.

I really hope 21st Century Breakdown (song) doesn't make it to the setlist.I don't like it,it's boring. Those are the songs I'd love to hear in next tour:

1039 SOSH: Going to Pasalacqua (Haven't listened it this album that much)

Kerplunk!: Who Wrote Holden Caulfield,2000 Light Years Away,Christie Road,Welcome to Paradise

Dookie: She,Basket Case,Longview,Burnout,Welcome to Paradise

Insomniac: Brain Stew

Nimrod: Walking Alone,King for a Day,Hitchin' a Ride,Good Riddance,The Grouch (most of all)

Warning: Warning,Minority,Church on Sunday,Waiting

American Idiot: American Idiot,Boulevard of Broken Dreams,Whatsername,Wake Me Up When September Ends,St. Jimmy

21st CB: 21 Guns,American Eulogy,Restless Heart Syndrome,Viva la Gloria (Little Girl)

Those plus the new stuff would make my day,my week,my month,my year,my fucking life!!

I guess they'll go,Billie already said he loved going to Argentina at least. But I wouldn't really expect them to go this year at all,let alone next year.Even if they started the tour this year, they would probably go to North America first. And maybe even Europe.

If 21st Century Breakdown Tour started on April/May 2009 and they went to South America in 2010,I wouldn't think they'd go this time till late 2013/2014

I wouldn't call it "boring" - I thought it was a great song to use to open up the shows. It gave a lot of energy to the crowd and got them pumped up, so to speak. Since 21CB was their newest album at the time it only made sense to open with that song, just like how they opened with American Idiot when AI was the newest one.

So, with the new albums coming out, I'm positive a song off one of those will be used as the opener. I still wouldn't be surprised if 21CB (song) had a place on the setlist in the upcoming tour though since it's definitely one of the songer songs off 21CB.

I'm fairly sure the tour didn't start til July. But like you said, I remember Billie tweeting about how amazing the South American shows were, so I'd be pretty hopeful they'd include some shows there on the next tour :)

I thought it was a great opener, it def got the crowd pumped! I just find it hard to imagine it fitting in anywhere else in the setlist. It just seems to fit as an opener, and I'd bet that spot's gonna be taken by one of the new songs.

i think 21CB won't have a permanent place on the new setlist like other songs will always have (like basket case, time of your life or 21 guns)

but imo they'll definitely play it at some shows!

I'm very happy with the early festival date in Bologna, Italy on the 2nd of September, and I hope they'll be playing some of the new stuff here, two or three songs would be enough. Than I'm guessing there'll be some more dates in Italy in the next part of the tour after all three albums and I hope I'll be able to attend at least one of the concerts there. I would love to see them come to Slovenia, but I know it's impossible, so I won't even expect that. And then I hope they are somewhere in Britain in August 2013, 'cause I'll probably be the whole month in London, but it's too far to tell.

As for the songs, I hope they keep playing Jesus Of Suburbia, Holiday and Welcome to Paradise as they're one of my favourite Green Day songs that get played often on concerts. I hope they play 2,000 Light Years Away or any other Kerplunk! or 1039/SOSH in Bologna as I like many songs from this two albums and as they're old and rarely played:)

All I want is a concert in Greece...I don't think it's gonna happen but I really want them to come here...

And i hope they'll play: Longview, Going to pasalacqua, platypus ( :D ), St. Jimmy, .......

I don't think 21stCB song is boring at all. As a matter of fact I loved it. I'd be happy happy happy if they play that, American Eulogy and Peacemaker (I'll never understand why they don't play that one live) from the 21st Century Breakdown album.... although I did did love that album front to back (with the exception of Restless Heart Syndrome).

As for them coming to South America... yeah, I don't really think there's any real chance they'd visit this year, I just like to dream hehe. But maybe we could have them around by late 2013... we do have the advantage that while it is winter in the States and Europe, the nothern part of South America still keeps a proper temperature for outdoor concerts, and it's summer in the southern countries, so we, along with Australia and New Zeland make a suitiable option for that time of year.

If I had to pick three songs from each album as for what I'd like to hear on the upcoming tour, considering it will be my first time seeing them live, it would be as follows...

1039: Going to Pasalaqua, Paper Lanterns, Only of You

Kerplunk: Words I Might Have Ate, Who Wrote Holden Caulfield?, Christie Road

Dookie: Sassafras Roots, Longview, F.O.D.

Insomniac: Stuart and the Ave., Westbound Sign, Brain Stew/Jaded

Nimrod: The Grouch, Redundant, Platypus

Warning: Blood, Sex and Booze, Church on Sunday, Deadbeat Holiday

Shenanigans: Ha Ha You're Dead, Do Da Da, Rotting

American Idiot: Give Me Novacaine, Homecoming, Whatsername

21st Century Breakdown: American Eulogy, Static Age, either of the Viva's

And out of the new songs (that we know so far): Carpe Diem, Stray Heart and 8th Avenue Serenade

Gah I'm already excited. :runaround:

Don't lose your faith :) After all the time waiting for any announcement I thought they'd never come to Argentina, but they did! Maybe in this tour they will go to Greece ;)

Well I hope that when they do the Bay Area Secret shows again they return to the Warfield, that would be awesome. During the main tour I expect more rares and please play Misery! lol I was fortunate enough to be at the Sac show where they teased it! lol Lastly....I wanna see GREEN DAY do Longview....ditch the Karaoke, I go to see Green Day sing their songs and while its great that some lucky fans get the chance, most of them forget the words anyway. Leave the Karaoke for Knowledge.

couldn't agree more. I think it's cool to go onstage like they did with 2000 Light Years Away on the last tour where lots of people had the chance to go and just dance or whatever, but I didn't really liked Longview, I wish I could hear Billie singing it fo once.

I would love it if green day covered London Calling or White Riot

But they are most likely to cover hybrid moments ( misfits ) again and again

If I had to pick a few from each album for the tour, I would choose:

1039/SOSH- Going to Pasalacqua, Paper Lantens, The Judges Daughter, I Want to be Alone

Kerplunk- One of my Lies, Christie Road, Private Ale, 2000 Lightyears Away

Dookie- When I Come Around, Longview, Burnout, F.O.D, Coming Clean, Emenius Sleepus

Insomniac- Walking Contradiction, Bab's Uvula Who?, Westbound Sign, Geek Stink Breath

Nimrod- Nice Guys Finish Last, The Grouch, Hitchin' a Ride, Walking Alone

Warning- Waiting, Minority, Fashion Victim, Deadbeat Holiday, Macy's Day Parade

AI- BOBD, Holiday, JOS, WMUWSE, Give me Novacaine

21CB-Viva La Gloria, 21 Guns, EJN, Last Night on Earth

And of course the new ones from iUno! :D

they had better come to Canada, and they had better come somewhere where I can get to them!

There's only one song that I would die to hear them play, and that would have to be Hitchin' a Ride. Other than that, they could play any songs and I would die a happy woman.

As long as they play Are We The Waiting I don't care...

Letterbomb needs to become a staple, dying to hear that song and they didn't play it at either of the 4 shows I did last tour . . . Assholes :P
