She is Amanda Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Know your Enemy has to go, 21 guns should to, but thats not gonna happen. Its such a depressing song
DannyDirnt Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 I would like it if they dropped 21 Guns and played Restless Heart Syndrome instead. American Idiot shouldn't be dropped, I think it's the best possible opening they can have because it's their signature song because it's their most know one. It would be like if Spice Girls dropped Wannabe. About Good Riddance, it is getting repetitive to me as well, and maybe they have a better ending like Going to Pasalacqua. Or maybe Rest, which is underplayed. There are so many songs I would want them to add! In my opinion they should drop many AI, 21CB and Dookie and just play more 1039, Kerplunk, Insomniac, Nimrod and Warning. Maybe they should do many different setlists, or do like in Warning tour. They did half a setlist and then started taking requests. That way they aren't repetitive and us oldie fans can request more old stuff.
.................... Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 They should really play more songs from their early albums. So less songs from AI and 21st Century Breakdown. And it would be really cool if they played an entire album in the same show!
DannyDirnt Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 First of all they should make full-album concerts for early stuff, I'd love that.
xVanessa86x Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I think more songs from American Idiot would be nice like instead of like Holiday and Boulevard of Broken Dreams it should be Give Me Novacaine and She's A Rebel and such as that. I wouldn't mind if they took out Boulevard of Broken Dreams at all haha plus more old songs would be nice and acoustics would be better. Maybe Whatsername to be the ending song instead of Good Riddance? That would be lovely!
DannyDirnt Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I'd say they could finish the setline with some epic song, like J.A.R. because the last part with Mike singing alone would be epic to end up such an epic night
grlcalledkill Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I agree the set list could use a makeover. They'll have so much more material from the new albums, selection of the older stuff will be important. Since not all the people who come to the concerts are die hards like present company, they do have an obligation to play at least a few of the big ones. I would be ok to see these dropped in favor of Going to Pasalacqua, Horseshoes and Handgrenades, Scattered, Coming Clean, Walking Contradiction, Warning - and of course I'd love to hear Blood, Sex & Booze live one of these days... Drop King for a Day but keep Hitchin' a Ride Drop AI Know your Enemy
GDrokzursox Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I really want to hear Bab's Uvula Who and One of My Lies live..... I'd like it if they dropped Know your Enemy...and don't drop When I Come Around, I love that song!
alienlifeform Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 i really would like if they change the set for each show they play.. like other bands like Nofx and Metallica does... they select some songs as a base and the rest they change every night... would be much more interesting for everyone... as a matter of fact, with 3 new albuns being released i thing they will do something like this , otherwise the crowd will get bored hearing the same 10 songs at every show as long as they are releasing 36 new ones...
San Miguel Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I wanna hear Road to Acceptance - i'm really digging the song right now
insomniax Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Pretty much everything from 21st century breakdown. I don't know why but that album just didn't click with me. It's good but.. meh I would love to hear them play more songs from Warning!
San Miguel Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I wanna hear Road to Acceptance - i'm really digging the song right now epic fail by me there - didn't notice the big capitals saying LESS numpty!
Bolanic Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Minority, Minority, Minority, Minority and Minority.
alienlifeform Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 i wish they play less eeeeeeeeeeeooooooooooosss during the show
DannyDirnt Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Drop King for a Day but keep Hitchin' a Ride Drop AI I agreed till I saw those. I don't think they'll ever drop AI because it makes a good opening and it actually became their signature song, it's like if Spice Girls dropped Wannabe, to list a band I know well... And about King for a Day and Hitchin' a Ride, I'd actually prefer that they dropped HaR and kept KfaD... But really, I know this won't happen but I wouldn't be sad if they dropped all their known stuff and started playing all the songs they never play and new stuff only.
Heather. Posted June 25, 2012 Author Posted June 25, 2012 With 36 new songs coming our way, and a 35/36 chance that I'll like them all better than Know Your Enemy, I am going to be irrationally annoyed at the next show I go to if they waste any of my time playing that shit. No disrespect, it's not a bad song, it's just not a song I need to hear ever again
Jaymee!! Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Over Basketcase. And Brainstew. Even JOS a bit. If they ever drop KFAD though...no. No, it just can't happen.

And it's a bit sad tot hink that theya re playing that when they can be playing much greater stuff, even off of that album if you want 21CB.
