It all sounds a lot like tubbies with a bit of old school. I am just afraid that the album might turn out almost like a joke like "stop drop and roll" cause I love it but it kinda seemed like it was just rewriting classic rock n roll songs for fun. If green day do a similar thing with the next album then I can see them disappearing from the "huge bands" categories and sinking slowly into their retirement Phase :( . On the bright side I know I will love it whatever it is! :D

Another bright side, maybe they will play some smaller venues with the next album.

I really like the new songs but I don't want the style to turn very rock 'n' roll-ish and take away from the uniqueness of the Foxboro Hot Tubs. If that happens then it will all be too similar I think and I like how they had diversifyed. It seems like the Tubbies is that little bit on the side for them and I wouldn't want to see the two merging together.

So far, the sound is great. It's just a fun sound, and I love it.

I'm personally worried about 2 things.

1. Popularity.... I don't care if Green Day becomes less popular, i would actually prefer that even, BUT, I do love to see my favorite band get a lot of recognition, interviews, radio play, etc. I hope the sound doesn't take that away from them, but if it does, so be it.

2. Similar songs..... with most "rock and roll" albums out there today, a lot of the songs sound similar. I hope you don't get that, "I feel like i just heard this song" vibe with the songs, but I don't think Green Day will let that happen.

Very excited for more news, songs, and a whole new album and tour.

I LOVE Green Day's whole new vibe. The first time I watched the video of Stray Heart, I fell in love with it, and kept singing it throughout the whole week. The songs just stick with you. And I love your description, Amanda. I feel the same way! Can't wait til the new album comes out!! :D

I wouldn't like that either but I'm not too worried. I think the special thing about FBHT is really the strong 60s sound they have. Unless their new style is totally 60s I don't think it's gonna sound too similar, to me the new songs sound rock and roll but not in a Foxie way.
