Disapperingirl Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 They said it's not true http://www.nme.com/news/green-day/61657
VivaRomy Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 They said it's not true http://www.nme.com/n...green-day/61657 Last year, the Leeds and Reading line-up got leaked before the announcement (I think it was the day before), due to a magazine picture, and the organisers declared it as false - but it was the exact same line-up that was announced the day after! From the sounds of it, I don't think it's legit, but it could be possible as it's been leaked from a magazine again. The festival organisers will say it's false whatever though! So you can still hope, haha Edit: Apparently it's from the same magazine! Kerrang! was the magazine the line-up was supposedly leaked from last year, and it's K! again from the sounds of it.
haushinka reject Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Can't see it happening myself to be honest. As others have said it's a metal festival and they would be better doing Leeds/Reading instead, just my opinion like.
Undómiel Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I hope they play Leeds rather than Sonisphere.... when is Sonisphere usually announced?
greendaytodeathandback Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I've been thinking about this, and i would actually rather not go to this, then use the money i would spend on sonisphere, to go to a Concert on the GD tour, i mean 3 hours of Green Day won't happen at Sonisphere, + it was mention on here already, but it really isn't their sort of festival, but i would say that about Blink, RHCP, and Foo's as well. I feel the same, I mean the other bands are unreal, but that much money for may 45 mins- an hour of Green Day, who would be the ones I would be there to see, just wouldn't be enough. Plus it would more than likely that they would only do more popular ones as it would be a festival and only a few of the older tunes.....
Tre_Gina Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 These Sonisphere rumours seem to have died down. I'm telling you Reading and Leeds is the way to go - with a bit of luck it will be my 2 favourite bands headlining - GD and Foo Fighters! I saw the other day Sonisphere announced some headliners for the European ones so I guess it will be soonish? People on their FB page seem to be getting impaitient which also makes me think it must be soon.
bollard_11 Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Apparently Queen with Adam Lambert ( ) and Faith No More are confirmed for Sonisphere UK
Silent Duck Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 The remaining members of Queen clearly will do anything for a bit of cash, especially Brian May. They're making a mockery of their legacy at this stage, which is a shame, because they're one of the greatest bands of all time.
Tre_Gina Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Sonisphere are making a 'first line up announcement' for the UK festival at 8pm tonight so we will see.
VivaRomy Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 According to Queen's official website, the three headliners are Queen (with Adam Lambert), Kiss and Faith No More - http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/5003/f6a5ffbd7c1791ed312b2ef.png (has now been pulled from the website, almost certainly due to prematurely announcing it!) I guess the L/R rumours for GD will be hotting up now...
Wobbie Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Nope. I'm kinda glad to be honest. They wouldn't have suited Sonisphere. Leeds & reading is perfect and its looking very likely now.
colour_me_stupid_ Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Still reeling from the utter shit-ness that is the line up.
VivaRomy Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Still reeling from the utter shit-ness that is the line up. Personally think it's better than Download but that's just me both of them aren't to my taste this year, but there's some great bookings. I think R/L will beat it though...

I think R/L will beat it though... Nah, Download is much better, imo R/L would want to be beating both of them pretty easily, considering there is no Glastonbury this year.. But yeah, I agree

I think R/L will beat it though... Download has Metallica, Tenacious D, Trivium, Machine Head. Therefore ALL ARGUMENTS ARE INVALID
Tre_Gina Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Download have got an awesome line up this year! I agree Green Day would be totally out of place in that line up....bring on 12th March and the R/L announcement.
