Before the drums start in Stay the Night. You can hear a tambourine. Maybe like half a measure/a measure before the drums kick in. It's in the right ear if you're wondering. It's VERY faint. And also, you can hear the vibration of the snare because of the guitar for some reason throughout the intro. It's way more obvious in the music video though. You can hear it after every break.

Green Day doesn't steal shit from other people's music. They do whatever the fuck they want. They don't give a crap about what they sound similar to. They make their music the way they want it.

They definitely do what the fuck they want...but they've admitted to stealing little pieces of songs here and there, because every musician does it. Actually, that's only in the Rock Band version, from which that backing track was built.. Not sure why. If you listen to the vox only, you can clearly hear that it's Mike saying "time... hehe, time" for some reason.
