maurokanvaz Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 During the last "Home we are coming home" in Homecoming you can hear someone screaming some weird ish
KGLWW Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I think Mike says, "Record and shut up" at the beginiing of "All by Myself."
GreenDay98 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Sounds more like a groan than one of his "suh"s to me. It's a really low "urrrrrrrrrrr". Like he's groaning with frustration at not being able to sleep. I thought he said yeah...
Guest Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Before the drums start in Stay the Night. You can hear a tambourine. Maybe like half a measure/a measure before the drums kick in. It's in the right ear if you're wondering. It's VERY faint. And also, you can hear the vibration of the snare because of the guitar for some reason throughout the intro. It's way more obvious in the music video though. You can hear it after every break.
Bastard of 1969 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 In Longview, after "Call me pathetic, call me what you will", you can hear a noise which reminds me of a seagull.
Spike Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I can't hear "what you will" in the background of Longview at all. I must have listened to it over 1000 times but it's just not happening. All I can hear is a wail in the background at the same time as "will."

Jollyroger118 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 In Roshambo there's a dark evil voice singing during the verses. In fact there's voices all throughout that song
9876gwen Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 am i the only one who cant hear the "big titties" thing in J.A.R?
jacknovella Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Green Day doesn't steal shit from other people's music. They do whatever the fuck they want. They don't give a crap about what they sound similar to. They make their music the way they want it. They definitely do what the fuck they want...but they've admitted to stealing little pieces of songs here and there, because every musician does it. I'm reading the Ultimate Unauthorized history of Green Day right now and there's a quote from Billie Joe talking about a song he took a little melody out of

Spike Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 This sounds familiar... It came out in 1998, by the way.
WhiteTim Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Hell Warning is nothing but The Kinks verbatim
Guest Trotsky Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Hey guys, this thread is about "Stuff hidden in Green Day songs", not about similar songs.
Todd Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 am i the only one who cant hear the "big titties" thing in J.A.R? Trust me, you gotta turn it up WAY LOUD with headphones on. On your computer... I don't know if phones get loud enough to hear it Hey guys, this thread is about "Stuff hidden in Green Day songs", not about similar songs. Yeah, wtf lol

Todd Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 I dont think i want to make my ears bleed just yet... No... but you can definitely hear it in live versions... Like AAF and at Irving Plaza last year
9876gwen Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 No... but you can definitely hear it in live versions... Like AAF and at Irving Plaza last year Yeah when I saw the post about it I looked for the AAF version on youtube and there it was
UnoDosTreCuatro Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 This isn't too hidden, but I like in the song Let Yourself Go where in the background you can hear someone shout SHUT THE FUCK UP! about 1:10 into the song right before the melody again. you can find shitons of green day subliminal messages on youtube like this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oKv5D25W5o ...doesn't seem very legitimate.
the dryice man Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 if you listen to sassafras roots you can hear mike and billie talking its hard to hear with the guitar so heres it without the guitar its around 1:09
green day is Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 if you listen to sassafras roots you can hear mike and billie talking its hard to hear with the guitar so heres it without the guitar its around 1:09 Actually, that's only in the Rock Band version, from which that backing track was built.. Not sure why. If you listen to the vox only, you can clearly hear that it's Mike saying "time... hehe, time" for some reason.

green day is Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Why did he scream after the second chorus in that version? Is there any particular reason for which he shouldn't have?
Spike Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Is there any particular reason for which he shouldn't have? I assume the question is why he did as opposed to the Dookie version where he doesn't.
Bastard of 1969 Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Hell Warning is nothing but The Kinks verbatim Or "Picture Book"?
