In the last few seconds of On The Wagon you can hear Billie say "hold on"

I thought it was "well done" :o

I assume the question is why he did as opposed to the Dookie version where he doesn't.

And we're expected to know?

Or "Picture Book"?

Yeah couldn't think of the song name lol

And we're expected to know?

Ha, it would appear so!

Well I'm being insomniac again, for like the third night in a row, but whatever. I was listening to Homecoming, and at around 3:35 the backing vocals change from "Aaaaah..." to "La la la..." which I've never noticed before.

.

- At the end of Dry Ice you can hear them shout "YES! YES!" and I think Tre hits his drums as well. Turn up your volume.

it's Al playing the drums, not Tre

Good job on correcting a post from two years ago with a minor mistake that had already been corrected two years ago.

Actually, that's only in the Rock Band version, from which that backing track was built.. Not sure why. If you listen to the vox only, you can clearly hear that it's Mike saying "time... hehe, time" for some reason.

So songs were re-recorded for Rock Band?

Yes. They said YES! YES!, because Al kept screwing up at songs, so they just had to do song over and over again.

EAST JESUS NOWHERE

1. at the beginning it says "reberu rajio" ("level radio" in Japanese) this part is said by Ruri (Tre Cool's girlfriend)
2. after that it says "la ultima noche" ("last night" in Spanish)
3. the part at 0:23 it says "don't test me" and "second guess me" backwards at the same time (if you listen this song backwards you will hear it)

No.

I love the random isolated "pickup truck" in Dominated Love Slave. Not really hidden, though.

I don't remember specifically what it was, but when I got a vinyl of American Idiot, during Homecoming, there was some kind of other singing that was apparent due to HD sound during Nobody likes you ( I think I don't remember)

Actually, She Is Amanda is right, there's a little 'beep' at 2:50 in Chuch on Sunday, I don't think she was talking about that change of rhythm in the last chorus.

Was that the background TV/radio noise just before the verse comes in?

oh that makes sense

No... It was yelling. During the verse.

Wasn't that always there? On the outro, right?

I'm thinking that's an organ or some other kind of keys?

No, rockband used the original master tape from the Dookie recordings for the multi tracks, and there are some things in there which were taken out from the Dookie release during the mixing

Hooked up my turntable and listened to it.

It's the sound of the TV at the beginning of Nobody Likes You. I remember first listening to it on vinyl and thinking that wasn't always there, and since vinyls are HD that makes sense. I listened to the song on my computer and I didn't hear it though.

Yeah, that's what that guy earlier in the thread was talking about. You can hear it on the vinyl and the HD Tracks version, but the regular mp3/CD version is too compressed.

I always thought that was like an "ooh" in the vocals or something, and the other instruments masked it so we could only hear the harmonic, making it sound like a beep. Could be wrong.

Listening to the Rock Band multitracks. In the bass track of Warning, you can hear something metal fall to the floor at 1:11.

Somebody else probably noticed this already, but I just picked up on it- the "Don't wanna be an American idiot" shout during Rock n' Roll Girlfriend is Mike. I always assumed it was Billie.

Can someone please explain what the rock band tracks are? Why can you hear stuff on there that you can't normally and where do the rock band tracks come from?
