Katarina. Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011
BAM no wanking
Unfortunately I can't remember that much from the '09 show I went to, but I believe we got both? I don't know Hitchin' a Ride/WTP is great.
burnout409 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I love them all tbh i think its cool when bands run songs into others, and Green Day always do it really well, but the one I'm gonna pick as my favorite is on Bullet In a Bible Brain Stew into Basket Case, that little bit of Feedback and loud cheer of the crowd, then when the crowd starts singing as well after the 1st line of Basket Case its amazing

Mostly it was just at the moment there'd usually be wanking/dirtiness and they'd cut to Welcome Paradise instead, you either got one or the other. Not even a hint of dirtiness during Hitchin A Ride at either of the shows I went to haha But also the end of Hitchin A Ride is AWESOME live! Shame to cut it off before all the good stuff (the dirtiness, the "This is what I need, this is what it's gonna take.....1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4 you ready?....", and then the song storming back in with the climax of the guitar solo and Billie screaming and fire and everything). Would've been much better to just play both songs in full.
Burnout98 Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 When they play Brain Stew live and at the end of it Tre does sort of a long drum solo. Then it goes straight in to Jaded. It sounds so good I think they did that on the 21 Guns Live EP? (correct me if I'm wrong)
Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 I really love Last Night On Earth into East Jesus Nowhere. I always thought there was a kind of sadness about Last Night On Earth. The way it crackles out at the end, after the lyric "Did I ever make it through?" like he was never really sure he got his point across. And then into the tuning of the radio beginning of East Jesus Nowhere. Almost like that drastic change from one song to the next further adds on to the question of him making it through. I think it's brilliant.
Sweet Armataged Chump Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011
Chump to Longview, for sure. Goin' old school on this one.
Yes the best by far.
