colour_me_stupid_ Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 I forgot that I looked really really different then
Hermione Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 It was a massive inflatable ball that everyone was hitting around before FT, it ended up on stage and a roadie popped it... Aww what a meanie! I'd forgotten about the ball. And that's just reminded me of Billie saying Green Day were gonna win the World Cup . I loved all the random things he came out with during that show.
Juliette Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 N'awww this time last year they'd probably just come on stage eh. I was in London this morning as well, really made me miss it. Fucking brilliant day.
Undómiel Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Aww what a meanie! I'd forgotten about the ball. And that's just reminded me of Billie saying Green Day were gonna win the World Cup . I loved all the random things he came out with during that show. mmmm His story about Satan and Jesus before EJN that just went absolutely nowhere....
Hermione Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 mmmm His story about Satan and Jesus before EJN that just went absolutely nowhere.... LOL it was amazing! He couldn't even finish it . I enjoy this video of it complete with people laughing
Mellyboots Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 ....the first and last time we stood on Jason's side. Worth it just to experience the Jason clap up close and personal. ....but yeah, never again.
St. Guro Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Wow.. I've just seen a bunch of videos from the wembley show on you tube. Can't believe I actually was there!
St. Guro Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 ^ it's a cool feeling, huh? Yeah! It's awesome! I still don't understand it, tough, heh. It's unbelievable!
oscar is a nimrod Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 This time last year I was in my car on a 150 mile car journey back home listening to people calling in about how awesome the green day show was. They played like 7-8 green day tracks and then we were too far away from London to recieve the station. Great time
-Billiejoezee- Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 I like this thread. Great to read y'all Europeans talk about fantastic green day memories.
pasalaska Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 just uploaded my Shout video from Wembley, which I had forgotten about. It's got Glen and Rebecca in it I thoroughly enjoy hearing us all starting up the 'MIKE, MIKE' chants
pasalaska Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 ahh, Glasgow. So much fun, even though it wasn't the best show performance-wise on the tour. Had a ball! having fun in line, and we got early entry: then we had fun on barrier just before the band came out: (thanks to Tony for the picture)
Comedy & Tragedy Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 I just remembered, this day last year Darren told me that I had early entry. I'd never been so happy in my life HOLY JUMPIN JESUS BALLS!!!!!! Oh my god Darren you are so awesome right now!!!!! :runaround: :runaround: Funny story, I was reading through the pages, and I was feeling the suspense, and just as I went onto the next page, my internet froze And i was like "C'MAAAAN!!" Oh God I'm shaking!!!
YehItsRyan Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 My first standing gig and first Green Day concert. I can remember not having any change to get the bus so I had to buy something from the shop across from my school in order to get change. All the school pupils just looked at me like why ain't you in school. I ended up getting the bus over to Kilwinning and getting the 9 o clock train into Glasgow and was at the SECC for 10 o clock. I had to wait til half past 12 until my friends came to join me in the queue but once they had came it was a lot more fun waiting in the queue with them in it. I think the suspense and waiting made the time go in twice as slow as I was checking the time on my phone every 5 mins. Once the doors were opened it was just the biggest sigh of relief to get in to the arena and see the stage. Joan Jett were fantastic and I narrowly missed a few of their guitarist picks. Waiting an hour and a bit for Green Day ended up in me sweating quite a lot and my t-shirt ended up sticking to me. I swear it was a workout without me knowing it. It was all worth it in the end as I had a fantastic night and took away a lot of memories. I had PCD (post concert depression) for about a week after it . I can't wait until next time Green Day are back as I am going to see them live a good few times
bollard_11 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Ah Glasgow, on my birthday last year. Had a sign saying "Pick me its my birthday". Mike saw it and wanted me up for Longview, but Billie didn't see him gesture But he said sorry and wished me a happy birthday
Jaymee!! Posted June 21, 2011 Author Posted June 21, 2011 Looking back at it, Becki and I could've easily done Glasgow. But we never considered it (for some reason). Sad, I would've loved to see them indoors again (and meet Alice )
Isabel Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 This day last year, Green Day was en route to Eyerland and we were hours away from watching the best soundcheck in the history of soundchecks
Isabel Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 And the Simon Pegg security guard already took a hatred to Melanie, Darren and I because we wouldn't stop bothering him about early entry
Miss Hedgie Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 I keep comparing this June to last June and it does not compare in the slightest. This month is shit. I want it to be last month. I really hope Green Day get back in the studio soon. I know like the rest of you want to see the guys tour again.
Mellyboots Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Marlay Park soundcheck. I'll refrain from posting videos this year, did enough of that last year. And the Simon Pegg security guard already took a hatred to Melanie, Darren and I because we wouldn't stop bothering him about early entry As if it's our fault that he's useless.
