mitzymoo Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 I'm a gentleman! I think it was the t-shirt with all the tour dates on the back of it. The t-shirt was actually bigger than the little girl, she'll grow into it in about 10 years. I'll track her down and get it back off her then. Yup a true gentleman Ah cool I was never sure what it was but thought it would be that one or something similar
Comedy & Tragedy Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Oh, and videos I took (yes, we can still be on the topic of Marlay ) I didn't take this one, obviously, but good god it makes me so happy and destroys my ears at the same time Also, it's such a gorgeous thumbnail Matching outfits Attractive http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/35196_1549921586563_1190813792_31551944_7970075_n.jpg OMG, this is the most beautiful photo that I ever seen in my life , can I get a hi res version of this? Well, I have nothing more to do here, since I saw them in october, but anyway, this was the best european tour that Green Day ever did, specially the last gigs. 3 hours shows, a lot of rarities, words are useless to explain this... Thank you Here's the original file of the picture, which is pretty big and good quality. Linky
.katie. Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 I didn't know this thread existed Well I totally forgot that yesterday was a year since Marlay Park until this morning But anyway, best night of my life All those pictures and videos are just making me want to re-live that concert
Jaymee!! Posted June 24, 2011 Author Posted June 24, 2011 Right now Becki and I would be just reaching our hotel in Paris. Tomorrow around noon we're randomly going to run into Aska, Sarah and Leisha outside the McDonald's in the square before taking them to the stadium to secure our spot in line. Looooong day of traveling, but at least she and and I didn't experience the fuck up's of the strike like others did. Plus, I got to go on the Eurostar under water
Isabel Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Marlay Park was my favourite show from that tour. So, so, SO good.
Jaymee!! Posted June 25, 2011 Author Posted June 25, 2011 As hectic and problematic as the day of the Paris show was, Paris was my overall favourite. So much stress, but it turned out to be so wonderful.
greendepent Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Here's the original file of the picture, which is pretty big and good quality. Linky Oh, Thanks a lot, looks amazing Did somebody remember Prague? It was an amazing show. I had a kind of crush with this show cause BJ play redundant and words I might have ate in a row, my 2 favorite acoustic songs. I did some videos in a past (and failed) proyect, and I still having some few more to upload. She When I Come Around Extraordinary Girl Holiday Few photos, all credited to Jana Coleman
pasalaska Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Paris! unfortunately for me the show was kinda marred by the line up experience. still, I got to see/hear Walking Contradiction during soundcheck, and one of the best ever performances of Longview by a fan ever. I think my favourite memory of the show would have to be when paramore were playing, and Tre was hiding side-stage behind the curtain infront of us - he saw us mocking paramore and watching him, so he stuck his head around the curtain and poked his tongue out at me some good photos (steal them and I will break you): the circle pit and the famous signs my videos of Paris:
Jaymee!! Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 Yeah, I kept waiting for something to get pulled out of his ass, but it was so-so. I was happy regardless though. Overall, even though Paris was by FAR the most stressful, I think it was my favourite show. It was just so much fun, I really did enjoy it Same deal with the picture tidbit from Aska
Jaymee!! Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 I remember when he came over to Liz and I because the barrier was breaking from all the pressure right where we were. He did his normal blank stare at us, bent down and pulled a bolt out of the steel, and both our jaws dropped and he gave us a smile and a wink and a little laugh and walked away. That was gold

Jaymee!! Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 Well the bolt was loose And I remember how he kept getting confused over which girl Billie was pointing at for AWTW. He ended up choosing the wrong girl, I felt bad for the one who didn't get pulled up. She was in a lot of pain from pretty much the beginning, and asked to get pulled out a couple minutes later. The girl who got up lucked out! (Not to take anything away from her, but it's the truth).

I'll pretend that the bolt was tight and he was just being mighty... and that sucks, the poor girl :/ I'm surprised there's not an Eddie fan club on FB
Lauralovesgreenday Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 I was at wembley, which was honestly the best gig i've ever been to. I met some really lovely people, and the setlist was amazing. I went pretty mental when they played Waiting, but the best part for me is when billie said this: 'i'm not sure when we're coming back, but i'll tell you one thing, im gonna remember this night for the rest of my fucking life, i'll tell you that. but i'll come back. we'll come back. there aint no other band i'd rather be in. bands break up, my favpurite bands have broken up, some of my favourite people have died. the only way i'm leaving this band in a coffin.' now i feel sad. i miss them D':

Can't believe it was over a year ago already. It's sad how my memory of that night is fading already, but it makes me smile when I'm reminded of something like that that happened or was said and it all comes back
Tamara Rebel Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 26th June 2010 - Paris, Parc des Princes One of the best days of my life. it's was my second Green Day concert. with my mom we spent 3 days in paris (first time for me) (she's not a fan), the day of the concert i already had no more feet cause be walked so much but i still jumped for every song! and i had no more voice at the end! it was really funny to hear the girl sing Longview i could see that she was having a lot of fun. it was so funny went they played covers, sweet child o'mine the french (i'm swiss) didn't know the words when BJ stop singing to let us sing I was sing my head of and some looked at me like want are you doing and i was like come on sing. and so funny when BJ took the t-shirt gun and threw one on the roof. can't wait for another tour!!
madddie Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Early entry for Wembley. Best barrier spot ever. *sigh*Manchester and Glasgow weren't too bad either
daria02 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Unlucky. HAHA! that is so cool with Billie wearing a tartan tie I sent him that tie!

That was the immediate first thing I thought of when he was saying that.
Hanner Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 So this whole experience (traveling to England alone and going to 4 shows) was good and fun, but I'll be honest, I don't think I'd go back and do it all again. Probably would if I was with somebody. But definitely not by myself. I do wish I got closer and kept in touch with some of the people I met along the way. The shows were pretty fun. I don't really remember Wembley or Manchester much because of not sleeping for something like 40 hours. But I'm pretty sure I had a good time lol. Scotland was my fav. Had absolutely no voice, but It was the best show for me, by far. I miss yew! <3
-Billiejoezee- Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 so, does this mean that in august we can have a thread for the USA/canada as well? Or is it just for Europe?

Queuing all day at Wembley (and you asking me to toss all the extra shirts to random people ) was good though! Got to spend the whole show with you by the left shoulder was great as well so, does this mean that in august we can have a thread for the USA/canada as well? Or is it just for Europe? Um, why don't we just wait and see until then...jumping the gun a bit early, don't you think?
pasalaska Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 this time last year we were in Prague! We had early entry which meant that we didn't have to wait all day in line so we went and explored the city. I'm so glad we got that opportunity cause Prague is one of the prettiest cities I've ever seen. We accidentally bumped into the crew when we went out for dinner too, that was hilarious gooooooood times.
