Stormy Haze Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 I don't wanna get my hopes up... I mean, they released AAF just two months ago or something... it's way too early for a new album. But it's gonna be cool to see the new site.
koolkev Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Kind of exited Obviously use GDA way more Ro be honest, GD.com ain't even dat good.
letterbomb_19 Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 I´m curious how the new site will look like maybe something completly new... would be awesome
Katarina. Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 GDA/GDC > Official Green Day site. Yes. I remember when they changed the lay out to black/grey in late 2008, with the "coming 2009" banners and all. That got me so excited! And then the 21CB lay out later of course. I'm curious what the new lay out will look like then. Interesting..
Hermione Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Ooh Chris Bilheimer, should look cool then. Not that I have any reason to ever visit greenday.com
spark in the night Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 It's cool that Chris is doing the design, that should be very cool. More importantly though, I just want them to make a functional site. The current setup for news, etc. is so ... awkward. They've had people who can make some cool looking designs, but since American Idiot, I've felt their site has lacked a certain usability. I agree I think it needs some sophistication.
Sanity Loan Posted June 3, 2011 Author Posted June 3, 2011 I liked the colors and artwork on this one for some reason: http://web.archive.org/web/20090421141918/http://www.greenday.com/splash_black.php?accesscheck=/login_check.php
Metanoia Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 wow cool thanks for posting Matt! // lol superlate reply to the OP.
whatshername0303 Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 I'm curious about that new theme. It's definitely not something about the upcoming album, so I wonder what it will be... I need to say that I check GDA more than GD.com, but I like it too.
Satan Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 I liked the colors and artwork on this one for some reason: http://web.archive.org/web/20090421141918/http://www.greenday.com/splash_black.php?accesscheck=/login_check.php why is KYE playing in the background? that's just tacky. the design is nice though.
Hermione Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 why is KYE playing in the background? that's just tacky. the design is nice though. Well it was their brand new single, it was before the album was out and the first new Green Day song we'd heard in years. So at the time it was exciting not tacky!
Florence Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 oooooh Can't wait to see the new design! For some reason, I don't think the theme's gonna be AAF related.
Zelda Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 :woot::woot: If it's related to the new album, then it's safe to say that I will shit myself.
Satan Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Well it was their brand new single, it was before the album was out and the first new Green Day song we'd heard in years. So at the time it was exciting not tacky! oh, true. good point
lizziebix Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 I rarely visit greenday.com since the tour ended. Maybe an update will bring me back for an occasional visit.
oscar is a nimrod Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Interesting.... Hopefully they will take a leaf out of gda's book and make the news readable! Maybe it could have promotion for this so called EP I have been hearing about eh!!??
in_your_face Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 I think the new theme would be based on their new album. Don't rush on me, it's a wild guess. Maybe they figured out that it would attract more GD fans to their site than GDA.
Velocity Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 I see a new AAF-themed splash page, but nothing else yet...
JaseminTheIdiot Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 I was rarely on greenday.com. And nothing will change that. But I'm still "excited" for the new theme. But GDA is better, always better!
Sanity Loan Posted June 8, 2011 Author Posted June 8, 2011 I see a new AAF-themed splash page, but nothing else yet... That one has been there for a while now
