Whatsername1533 Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 In Whatsername when they get into the chorus and then this line particularly: "And in the darkest night If my memory serves me right I'll never turn back time Forgetting you, but not the time" There are a few others too, but that one sticks out in my mind the most.
elephantstone Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 The scream in She, and the saxophone bit in The Static Age. I actually think The Static Age might be one of my favourite ever songs.
Whatsername1911 Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 "Jimmy died today" -Homecoming. That's all it takes to make my whole body break out in goosebumps.
StuckWithRob Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 "Jimmy died today" -Homecoming. That's all it takes to make my whole body break out in goosebumps. Yeah me too!
Malleus Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 In Whatsername when they get into the chorus and then this line particularly: "And in the darkest night If my memory serves me right I'll never turn back time Forgetting you, but not the time" There are a few others too, but that one sticks out in my mind the most. I agree with this. Especially when he says AND IN THE DARKEST NIGHT. I just get maaad chills.
jon18 Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 The City of The Damned part in Jesus of Suburbia is probably one of my favourite moments in music. For me, this is one of the best vocal performances of Billie Joe.
Nobody Likes Cam Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 As people said in "Tales of Another Broken Home" when it all slows down with just piano, in "Are We The Waiting", when he says "are we, we are, are we, we are the waiting unknown", and just everything about "F.O.D" (when it's all acoustic-y).
Undómiel Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 One part that jumps out at me is "the chuch of wishful thinking" in EJN... I can't decide whether to laugh or be taken aback with the profoundness when i hear that.
kate_ochoxx Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 The live version of Who Wrote Holden Caulfield at around 1:53-2:12 on AAF
Penguin Puffball Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 City of the Damned and Dearly Beloved in JOS are pretty powerful to me. The last chorus of The Static Age is really big for me too. And the entirety of Holiday. Those two songs make me wanna, like, fall over. Y'know, when the music is that powerful you just wanna get on your knees, throw your fists in the air, and scream.
StuckWithRob Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 The live version of Who Wrote Holden Caulfield at around 1:53-2:12 on AAF Yeah I like that bit too. Better than the original???
fadi_7 Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 almost every song and depends on how i feel in the current moment
Cre Tool. Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 21 guns solo and geek stink breath always give me that feeling!
DoodleBob Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 In 'Homecoming', ya know the part right after Tre's 'Rock and Roll Girlfriend' when it's guitar riffs transitioning to 'We're coming home again'? That part gives me chills for some reason. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, it's from 6:07 - 6:19. ^.^
greeneyedgirl Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 There are so many parts of songs that send chills down my spine but I must say in Christian's Inferno when Billie says "I am the atom bomb".
QueenOfSuburbia Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 There are too much songs that give me this feeling! But the first one that comes in my mind is: " Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go" from Good riddance. I don't know why, but it means a lot to me
veroPasalacqua Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 This little part in Static Age, when Billie's voice is getting a bit higher ... All i want to know, is a goddamn thing, not what's in the medicine ... you know?
Dylan. Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 When I get chills? I get chills in BIAB, when the fans and everybody are talking about what it means to be a Green Day fan before Minority starts. Also, you can't say that Billie's harmonica doesn't soothe the soul.
Ashley! Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 From; Christie Road So I go to Christie Road It's home JOS But there's nothing wrong with me, This is how I'm supposed to be, Hold On Gotta to hold on You got to Hold on to yourself
QueenOfSuburbia Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 the last part in whatsername. Yeah! mee too. Especially when you just listnened to the whole record.
LauraG Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 This little part in Static Age, when Billie's voice is getting a bit higher ... ... you know? Yeah! And also: All I want to do is I want to breathe
