spark in the night Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Letterbomb: "you're not the Jesus of Suburbia, the St. Jimmy is a figment of, your father's rage and your mother's love, made me the idiot americaaa!" oh god, and 21st Century Breakdown during "we are the class of the class of thirteen" when played live, it's the moment when Billie tells everyone to start jumping up and down after Tre does his drum rolling
pasalaska Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 definitely 'you are your own worst enemy, know your enemy' in Restless Heart Syndrome. pretty much the whole of Letterbomb, especially live. But mostly the scream. just wow. the whole first verse of The Death Of St Jimmy from Homecoming the last few lines of Whatsername 'while I'm young and while I'm able all I wanna do is ... ' from JAR and the guitar at the very beginning of Going To Pasalacqua
Nmd Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 During the musical, when Billie goes really high during "Jimmy diiiieeedddddd today" is always so emotional for me
Spider Tre Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Holiday- the chorus after "..because we're outlaws yeahhh Whatsername- Remember, whatever It seems like forever ago... all the way to the end Jesus of Suburbia - Tales of Another Broken Home from the start of the 'chapter' all the way to the end of the song
Light My Fire Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 the part in JOS 'are we demented or am I disturbed for lack of a better world and that's my best excuse' and the whole of macys day parade especially the start. so many more in a good way though.
Bastard of 1967 Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 How could I have forgotten this one from BTL: The brutality of reality is the freedom that keeps me from dreaming...
JDookie Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 The rage and love, the story of my life... The Jesus of Suburbia is lie... It's something that happens every time and I still don't know why... There's a lot of verses that I find very meaningful, but it happens only with this...
Sarabeth Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Any point where the key changes, or it suddenly gets really loud, or where Billie's voice gets growley (?) or where the lyrics are like BAM! In your face! Pretty much everywhere that people have already mentioned. I get the chills a lot while listening to Green Day.
Kayfabe Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 The break at the beginning of 21CB Hurricane of fucken lies Jimmy died today When the guitar comes in for Whatsername You are your own worst enemy... Know your enemy How could I have forgotten this one from BTL: The brutality of reality is the freedom that keeps me from dreaming... lol I got chills reading that aha automatic nervous reaction I guess
Pedestrian9394 Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Forgot to mention the part in St Jimmy after the solo, when he starts singing "my name is St Jimmy, I'm a son of a gun..." I was never a huge fan of the song (calm down) before, but I remember listening to it over and over again on the train to NYC to see the musical. Ever since then, that part of the song reminds me of the trip and I get all emotional.
LauraG Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 From J.A.R.: If you could see inside my head Then you'd start to understand The things I value in my heart From Are we waiting: The rage and love Story of my life From Before the lobotomy: Remember to learn to forget, Whiskey shots and cheap cigarettes From The static age: All I want to do is I want to breathe And the beginning of St. Jimmy and Going to Pasalacqua.
TheLastOfTheAmericanGirls Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 defenetly the ,,city of the damned" part in jesus of suburbia. jesus of suburbia is my favourite song.
AWWNA Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 At Are We The Waiting "This dirty town was burning down in my dreams". Pure awesomness. And there's many others. But that's just the one that gets me evry single time.
Sara Armstrong Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 WMUWSE and Whatsername can give me chills sometimes. idt there's like a specific ~point but just the songs in general.
Stanzie Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 "I'm so much closer than I have ever known" in Waiting. Every. Time. ^ this. Also, the part in the song where its just him and the guitar. guh.
Molly Rose x Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 In Christians inferno when he says I am the atom bomb. I am your chosen one
Burnout98 Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 The guitar in Homecoming when its "Well nobody cares, well nobody cares, does anyone care, well nobody cares."
groundpatty Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 For me, it's the last part of A Quick One when he repeatedly shouts "You are forgiven!" YES! My thoughts exactly. Just awesome how he screams it in the higher register. And also the key change in Static Age. Just brings it over the edge.
east cc nowhere Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Intro to nobody knows with mike on bass – just wow. It has this sort of haunting melancholic feel to it I cant even describe. The whole song even – it really makes me just stop still. If I ever got to hear it live I think I think I would just burst out into a blubbering mess for reasons I cant even explain – for me its those lingering undertones that are so poignant and almost sorrowful
Celsius Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 The very start of basket case, when i come around and welcome to paradise : mostly because it reminds me the concerts i've been to ^^ Otherwise the solo in WMUWSE, JOS ("and there's nothing wrong with me, this is how i'm supposed to be")

No one knows is just BEAUTIFUL!
Moyeszet Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Haha this chills is product in the same region of brain than the orgasm. That's proved. for me that's the part of Homecoming, "The death of St Jimmy", particulary whe n he says "what's the hell's your name?" until "Do you think what you need is a clutch" The live solo of good riddance. Christie road, the begginin Restless heart syndorme, but the begginning FOD, When he say "good night" Before the lobotomy, all the beggening and the end... Viva la gloria, when he says "Viva la gloria!" or "Where are u Gloria?" Panic song : "The world is a big machine..." Going to pasalacqua : Would i last forever? You and I together Hand in hand we run away..." 2000 years away : " I hear some laughter we laugh together" And i think...that's all. NO! There's the static age... "All I want to know Is a god-damned thing Not what's in the medicine All I want to do is I want to breathe Batteries are not included What's the latest way that a man can die Screaming hallelujah? Singing out "the dawn's early light""
KerplunkJOS Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 The entire Are we the Waiting And in the darkest night, if my memory serves me right-Whatsername Ine for the Razorbacks Dearly Beloved part of JOS And I cannot speak, I've lost my voice from redundant Viva la Glora right when the piano part ends Guitar for Wake me Up When September Ends Extraodinary Girl ScatteredOoh and the panic song gives me chills every single time
Ally Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Strangely...there all lines billie sings xD "Little girl you dirty liar"-VLG? "She gets so sick of crying"-Extraordinary Girl "Where will all the martyrs go, when the virus cures itself and where will we all go when its to late"-Letterbomb (AAF version) "Now i wonder how whatsername has been"-Whatsername "Deny the allegation as its written, fucking lies"-American Eulogy Theres probably more xD
