koolkev Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 I can listen to When September Ends with just a few sniffles by the end, but if I watch the video, I'm fucking bawling. Also Viva La Gloria and Before the Lobotomy made me cry the first time i heard them. Yes!!! The video is one of the songs that gets me really emotional.
Sara. Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 I get a lot more emotinal when I hear their songs live. At concerts I've cried to WMUWSE, 21st Century Breakdown, Good Riddance, 21 Guns, Last Night On Earth, Macy's Day Parade and When it's time. Other than that, No One Knows always gets me very emotional.
Disapperingirl Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Of course Wake Me Up When September Ends...it's so sad...but a lot of songs from American Idiot make me think about my life, and all the difficult times I had to face, and then cry, even if I usually don't cry easily...like Are We the Waiting (everytime I listen to the lyrics "the rage and love story of my life, the Jesus of Suburbia is a lie...")...Boulevard of Broken Dreams...Give Me Novacaine...Whatsername (the final part...)...and then Time of Your Life...When It's Time...21 guns...When I Come Around (I don't know why!!!)...oh and who said Coming Clean??That one too sometimes...oh well, I'd better stop
Lauralovesgreenday Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 whatsername and wmuwse are the ones that sometimes make me cry. the AAF version of 21 guns with the piano break has made me cry and so has 80. i have happy tears sometimes when i listen to green day cause they're so amazing too though x)
oscar is a nimrod Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 The recording of 21 guns on the awesome as fuck DVD has made me cry along with biab wake me up.... 21 guns was playing when me and my girlfriend had our first kiss... Also it sounds so great on aaf. Wmuwse on biab is sung with so much passion and meaning...
JuliaX_Ray2020 Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 good riddance / 21 guns / whatsername / last night on earth
tunisia wants greenday Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Wake me up when september ends , give me novocaine , Viva la gloria , working class hero , ! :33
PleasedToMeetMe Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 When I saw Wake Me Up When September Ends at Lollapalooza I had tears in my eyes.
letterbomb_19 Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 I cry sometimes to GD songs, because they remind me of a beautiful time. but I remember I was crying very hard when I heard Minority after my first GD concert. I also cry when I watch WMUWSE on BIAB.
whatsername..x Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Good Ridance... it took me a long time to listen to it again after hearing it live at Wembley last year, very emotonal Viva La Gloria... Not the album track, on Awesome As Fuck dvd, absolutely amazing! Boulevard Of Broken Dreams... it's mine and my boyfriends 'song', has been since we were just friends, sometimes when I listen to it and remember, I get abit teary Last Night On Earth... hasn't so much made me cry, I did get goose bumps the first time I heard it though
AWWNA Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 It usually depends what mood i am at the moment, but let's just say what others have said already: Good Riddance, WMUWSE, Give me Novacaine and so on. Whatsername is also really emotional and powerful song to me - and it's really weird, 'cause it doesn't even have any personal meaning to me. I can't empathize with it and it doesn't relate to my life at all. It's just so strong song. I mean, "Forgetting you, but not the time". I can't even describe it. Too beautiful.
Viva_La_Revolution! Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Wake Me Up When September Ends live at stand up to cancer
Radioactive1 Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 21 guns. It didn't used to but then when I saw them at Wembley and I knew that would be the last time I'd see them for a while, I just proper started crying at the gig. When I listen to it on AAF I usually have tears in my eyes. And WMUSE/good riddance on AAF does too.
Stanzie Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 When I Come Around makes teary-eyed just because of the nostalgia and memories it taps into.
peacelovegreenday Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 Wake Me Up When September Ends because I think about why Billie wrote it and because I can empathize why he wrote it too Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) Because I might sing it at my uncle's funeral and it makes me miss my old friends Whatsername because it gives me a nostalgia type feeling Are We The Waiting made me cry once, and I don't know why Scattered because my best friend just moved to California and it makes me think of all our awesome memories
