AndrewW91 Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Will you guys follow me with twitter msg to Billie and BR that they should just be friends, because they actually still share a LOT of fans!!!!! Rancid too:-)) I just tweeted Beejes. Hopefully they take it into consideration.
Flying penguins Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I’m pretty surprised here, to be honest. But then again there are quite a lot of bands out there bashing on Green Day these days, but there not the ones with a Broadway show. I'm a Bad Religion fan; I’m guessing Greg was just being grumpy...
cabot_girl Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I just tweeted Beejes. Hopefully they take it into consideration. I tweeted BJ, BR, Fat Mike and Rancid;-P
Kristen M Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Thats pretty lame, I don't understand why all these bands are giving Green Day shit, they give back to the punk community all the time.
Riotgrrl_GD Posted May 11, 2011 Author Posted May 11, 2011 Will you guys follow me with twitter msg to Billie and BR that they should just be friends, because they actually still share a LOT of fans!!!!! Rancid too:-)) I totally agree with you, would be the best punk rock show ever. Green Day, Bad Religion, Rancid and NOFX. They should join eachother on stage:-)))) EPIC I doubt NOFX would go for that... just a feeling
Isabel Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 As if Green Day intentionally left Bad Religion out of the loop when arranging support bands for their shows. Misunderstanding.
Smoothed Out Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 He's got the hump. *shrugs* Nothing worse than a band member with a bad case of sour grapes. We all say things out of character sometimes, on an off-day. I doubt anyone will actually take this to heart.
AndrewW91 Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 On The Bad Religion Page forums, Jay Bentley (their bassist) has a thread where he answers our questions. I should ask him if they're really upset with Green Day.
Hermione Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Bad Religion have been whining about this for years. They had Green Day supporting them once and they're bitter that they never got to support Green Day in return. Years ago when he heard that Billie had said he had too much respect for Bad Religion to have them opening for them he said that was "horse shit". He seriously is still wound up about it? Time to get over it!

LauraG Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I love BR, but I can't even imagine them agreeing to open for GD!
Hermione Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 i can't believe that! To be fair when Billie said that it might've been horse shit, it sounds like kind of a dodgy excuse. But either way to still be bitter now is just silly.
waninko Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Greg was probably trying to be funny. He's not. Still he tries, and awkwardness is bound to happen. Evidence is all over youtube. He's a professor, not a comedian - that's for sure

XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I hope you enjoyed your stay on my iPod, Bad Religion songs.

AndrewW91 Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I think to suddenly dislike a band because they don't like Green Day is a bit ridiculous. Especially since from what I remember, they've always been cool with each other. I'm sure Greg was just making one of his iconic, unfunny jokes.
Viva_La_Revolution! Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Im pissed, he dosnt know what he's taling about. I love Bad Religion tho

Agreed on the first part but I'm pretty sure what he said wasn't a joke. I don't see how that could be a joke even if it was an unfunny one. Sounds like Bad Religion fans making excuses to me
