TheSaltOfTheEarth Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 I don't actually listen to a lot of Network songs, personally. But I love all of Foxboro Hot Tubs, except maybe Dark Side Of Night....Red Tide is one of my favourites, though, I don't know why people don't like it.
bollard_11 Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 I don't own any Network, Frustrators or PHGP songs so I guess all of them?
Hermione Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 I don't own any Network, Frustrators or PHGP songs so I guess all of them? Have you listened to The Network?
green day is Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Also, I'm proud to say that there isn't one Green Day, Foxboro Hot Tubs, Network, Frustrators or Pinhead Gunpowder song that I don't absolutely love. What about The Lookouts? I don't like It's Fuck Time, though it might just be the shitty quality of all the videos of it getting to me.
bollard_11 Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Have you listened to The Network? Of course. Just never bothered getting / downloading the album, although I do like the songs
Hermione Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Of course. Just never bothered getting / downloading the album, although I do like the songs Oh that's OK then . I was going to order you to listen to them immediately.
Stuart&Ave Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Am I the only one who likes Dark Side of Night? No, I really like it. I think the flute adds something unusual to the song...
AwesomeAsFudge Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Mahogany and find my place by pinhead gunpowder i don't listen too much to their side projects =\
Green Day Dookie Dude Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 I listen to alot of The Network and The Tubs. I don't really listen to PHGP or The furstrators because I never really felt like it. I don't listen to anything else either.
Poprocks_and_Coke Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 No, I really like it. I think the flute adds something unusual to the song... Me too! I don´t listen to the Network, Pinhead Gunpowder or the Frustrators. :/ Maybe I should try it?! At the time I often skip Ruby Room.
Fuzz Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 I don't really listen to any side-projects too much. I have a couple favorites from Foxboro, Pinhead, and even a couple of The Network. I bought Griller by The Frustrators and thought it was pretty good. But, least played - probably something like X-ray hamburger from The Network.
koolkev Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 ^ yeah, i agree. although i always skip red tide, dark side of the night and hungry hungry models Ooooooh I LOVE hungy hungry models. And Supermodel Robots. Sometimes skip Dark side of the night. But I generally like it all!!
Danger! Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Pinhead's Big Yellow Taxi. I absolutely adore that song and they need to play the shit out of it! XD
pasalaska Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 I also listen to the Lookouts, but their first two releases are a bit shit, so I don't really listen to those at all
Hermione Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I don't really listen to any side-projects too much. I have a couple favorites from Foxboro, Pinhead, and even a couple of The Network. I bought Griller by The Frustrators and thought it was pretty good. But, least played - probably something like X-ray hamburger from The Network. I don't listen to most of their side projects really obsessively, but I probably listen to Stop Drop And Roll more than any other Green Day album . I think it's one of best albums the band has ever made. I see all the others as side projects but SD&R is different, it might as well be another (extremely wonderful) Green Day album as far as I'm concerned.
Stephanie. Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 I loveee FBHT. I think I have the whole album on my iPod... I like a few songs Pinhead Gunpowder and the Frustrators. I don't really care for The Network, although I like Spike, Roshambo, and Supermodel Robots.
Katarina. Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 I love everything by the Foxies, the Network, the Frustrators and Pinhead Gunpowder. I do prefer (same with Green Day) to play the whole records on repeat instead of listening to the songs on shuffle. The Lookouts are really awesome too, I love Spy Rock Road, IV, and other songs like Outside and Once Upon a Time. It's just the bad quality of the rest of the songs, an album like One Planet One People, that make me not liking those. It's like, the songs are all over the place, I wish there were better/clearer recordings of it.

I agree, the recording quality makes some of the songs almost painful to listen to, plus the earlier songs aren't as strong as the later material. IV has to be my favourite, the songs and the quality are just so much better.

They're one of the only bands I'm able to look past the recording quality on.
