I enjoyed his moment of not being so far up Bono's bum he could lick the inside of his hat. Maybe (hopefully) he's changed his mind a bit ?

And only Billie could make something completely confusing out of a story about signs. Did Mke mean 'bad' as in 'crap' or 'bad' as in 'good' like 'badass' ? It's hard to tell when you're a bit slow on the uptake : (

And about the "bad" thing, I was about to ask that too.

I'm pretty sure he meant bad as in good/badass. I know at least Tre was a big NWA and Ice Cube fan at that time (Tre even picked an NWA album as his favourite album of all time in an AI era interview). And bad as fuck (with bad meaning good) is a phrase that's common in Ice Cube songs lol.

If it does then I think I love Mike even more. Although they are pretty vague so you can never tell. God, they're such boys about answering questions directly aren't they ?

Looks like we totally disagreed on this one!

Yew new interview!

No new information, but they're always good to read, thanks for posting!

Ice Cube's cool! He was a well respected rapper at the time, writing proper hard-hitting lyrics and collaborating with rock acts and such. Plus he's from the West Coast and has written some pretty funny lyrics. It's confirmed that Tre was a fan and I don't think it's too outlandish to think Mike could've been too. I've heard Mike praise Tupac so why not!

I love the way everything he said has to be perfectly analyzed

Speaking of analyzed I think he might've been in a bit of a grumpy mood when he did this interview. With lines like "they're lucky I don't have a fucking knife in my boot" and such

My first thought was, um...you don't wear boots, you wear sneakers. But I understood what he meant. And, I agree, he did seem grumpy, a bit angry even. *shrugs* That's just Billie I guess.

Yeah wouldn't be the first time he's been in a bit of a bad mood, just struck me that he was haha.

I really loved that interview. I think it showed alot of Billie's personality, and I was really glad to see his comments about the punk or not thing. One of my favorite lines from that interview had to be him commenting that the only thing Green Day ever did was realized their potential, and pushed it.

Good interview. But why they asked him about 2012? He doesn't seem the kind of guy who would be scared of that, I think it was a stupid question 'cause I don't believe in that...

And awww he miss to play music with Mike & Tré

I feel like they asked him about 2012, more meaning 'Are you worried about what comes next for Green Day in the next year?' and then Billie joked about the Mayan thing. But maybe that's just me.

I really liked that interview.

No annoying usual interview filler questions.

but lacking in Billie's off-topic tangents and vague responses at the same time.

where are the 'y'know's?

Great interview.

He's brilliant!

I think that's what happened too, the person asking the questions either ment 2012 for green day or the presidential election, then Billie jokingly refered to the Mayan calendar thing. He definitely wasn't being asked about the possibility of the world ending :P

I was thinking exactly the same!

Oh, yeah. I feel like if it had been in Tweets, a lot of them would've been deleted.

In news from the future, Mike Huckabee sues Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong for libel.

http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/story/armstrong-i-stole-lettermans-limo_1213047 This website reported on a small bit of this interview and pretty much every thing they said was just so wrong

" The punk star admits he was a crazy guy when he first arrived in New York in 2003 and he did a lot of things he now regrets.

But the wild ways helped him to create the character Johnny for his 21st Century Breakdown concept album and Broadway musical "

I never knew johnny was in 21st century breakdown too :P
