oh man, I used to go on GSB.net all the time. I never posted in the forums though, because they were filled with elitist dickheads.

I stayed on the main page and made a load of 'journal' posts.

good times.

god that place is shit now.

omg, me too. And I actually used to think that that place was the shit back in like 05/06. loooooooooooool.

It's like half of them are elitists who hate Green Day and only go on there to be ~ironic and the other half are teenies who l0Ve bILLiE jO.

But I remember somehow finding GDA and I eventually joined GDC. Although I didn't post much the first few months after I first joined here, I was kind of intimidated by everyone

Pretty sure I was searching for something (probably not anything specific) to do with Green Day, found GDA, found GDC. Didn't sign up right away though, tend to be wary of message boards (unpleasant experiences in the past), but joined, and found this place to be lovely. :D

I started going on GDA very often and listening to the podcast every week in october of 2010... then a few months after I decided to join GDC (don't know why it took me so long) because i kept on hearing/reading about it

Andres spiked my drink many years ago, and told me he wanted me to help run a Pink Floyd site.

Some time later, once the trip had worn off, I discovered I was admin of a Green Day forum. It was only my love for Trotsky and rootbeersoup that made me stick around.

I used GDA for photos and stuff, then my friend Lara was telling me about GDC and how everyone on here were bitches... So I was like cool, I'll sign up!

I found GDC through using GDA. Can't really remember how I found GDA as it was years ago, it was something to do with searching for a good and useful biography of Billie that I needed for something school related. Then I had it as a homepage tab as it was the best for news updates and also had so many great photos.. after the Marlay concert last year, when all the tours were on GDA there was the link to each thread so then I joined, but I forgot about it for 2 months until I started going on GDC regularly.

aaaand just as well, as it's through GDC I met someone who now has become my best friend and he is now the most important person in my life.

Through GDA of course. I was just a wee little 13 year old girl who was new to the internet and decided to explore the message boards. I made an account in 2005 and started to post, but I got yelled at a lot lol. Mostly cause I had no clue what I was doing on here. I stole someones avatar thinking they wouldn't see and I got a nasty message (I wonder who it was...). So I had a whole phase where I still got on and read but never posted. I didn't start posting frequently until the end of 2008-ish. OH and I also was apart of this BJA forum and I had nearly 7,000 posts and then the site got shut down so I wasn't much of a poster after that.

Through GDA. Then I saw "Forums" and made an account. Never posted at all for the first 2 or 3 months, but in the last 6 months have been posting a lot.

Don't remember when exactly I found out about GDA, but it was sometime in late 2004. Then I made an account with GDC but left it and forgot my user/pswrd so I just made a diff GDC account in 2008 haha. :)

I've known about this place for a while. When I was in highschool, my friend Laura was trying to get me to sign up here, but as I said in my introduction thread, I tend to stay away from forums just because the whole internet fan experience never really appealed to me. I mean, there are exceptions of course, but I just thought generally, I'd rather talk to real people and real fans of Green Day. I mean, not that you guys aren't real. But yeah, I'm digressing. Anyway, I was really busy during high school and college and didn't really have time for the internet. And uh, long story short, now I do!

Well, today I was googling whether or not Green Day uses autotune on Awesome as Fuck (looks like some minor touch ups- but everyone does that) and I found this fantastic website in the process.

Hey guys! :dance::runaround:

Searched around for GD videos to download, since there wasn't very much aviable from p2p clients & torrents, stumbled randomly onto GDA, checked the "Free Videos" section there, and noticed that some people were talking about "the vid vault" in the comments there. Decided to check it out, found out you had to register to GDC to get access to the vault section of the board so I did so. I pretty much spent a year just lurking around and downloading vids before daring to post in the "Newbies" thread
