JaseminTheIdiot Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 A friend told me about GDC, after I asked her where she find all these great photos and information.
JuliaX_Ray2020 Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I knew about the Idiot Club, and I was looking for a free community
Sara. Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I don't really remember, but I think it was through GDA.
ludwiig Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I checked GDA for news all the time and sometimes I snooped around here. Took a while for me to join though. And I dont think i ever posted anything with my old account. A few years later I made this account, but I haven't been very active until just recently. This time I'm planning to stay
kellista Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I googled something about Green Day, found GDA then GDC.
kcgrl1124 Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 googled Green Day fansite then started exploring =D
fashionvictim86 Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Reading all these posts, I just think to myself.... FUCK YOU GEEKSTINKBREATH.NET!!!!
Sharmellow Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I was 12 when I found GDC. I became a fan of GD's music when I was 10 and when I finally had access to a computer, I googled them and whatnot. Then, somehow, I managed to stumble upon this website - probably through GDA.
ScatteredPictures Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 While googling Green Day . I wanted to read the threads so I made an account. Hence my uncreative nickname
Mar Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I had just seem them in concert and was looking for videos or anything from the show. I Googled the band and somehow ended up here.
JoeMcHugh Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Visited some Green Day fan sites and came across GDA a few years back and that lead me to here. Pretty simple really.
Fuzz Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I'm glad to say that feedback like this is what led to us having a permanent link to the forum on the top of GDA's current design. I should change it to something like "Talk with other badass Green Day fans"
Sarah.Scumbag Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I had been visiting GDA since I was like 8 years old or something and then signed up for this a few times without a single clue how it worked ahaha No idea how I found the place the first time though, but i'm guessing most likely from GDA.
lizziebix Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Reading all these posts, I just think to myself.... FUCK YOU GEEKSTINKBREATH.NET!!!! I had never heard of GSB.net until being on here for awhile. Went to check it out - once - and never went back!
pasalaska Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 oh man, I used to go on GSB.net all the time. I never posted in the forums though, because they were filled with elitist dickheads. I stayed on the main page and made a load of 'journal' posts. good times. god that place is shit now.
AnnA™ Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Must've been through GDA, clicking some discuss-button and been sent here. That's my best guess. It was back in 2006, and I had just gotten my own wireless Internet connection so I spent a lot of time browsing around for anything Green Day related. I became a member on a bunch of sites, including GDC, and later forgot all about them. It took years before I got back here and finally learned how to use GDC. It was the tour threads that got me back.
Smoothed Out Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Well I always used to go to GDA for GD news/pictures literally everything because it's freaking awesome. And when I started to do my IT coursework movie as an advert of 21st Century Breakdown, I wanted it to look really professional so I joined GDC to use the download section for videos (I had limited technological knowledge at the time). About a month later I thought I'd actually make use of the account and made an intro thread. The rest is history as they say
emikaf Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 GDC isn't really advertised so how did you find out about it? i was searching itunes for Green Day podcasts and static noise popped up, i gave it a listen and really liked it but what was this GDC they kept mentioning. 'I must find it!' i thought then i found you guys. The End i am genuinely interested and sorry if this has been done before. shoot me i searched EDIT: if you found out through GDA how did you find GDA? I found it the exact same way. I searched Green Day on iTunes and became addicted to the podcast. They always mentioned the forum so I decided to join a few days ago.
Overjoyed Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 After the show in Sweden last year I wanted to read about peoples experiences so I googled the show and came to GDA. There was this list with all the shows in 2010 and the button for "view comments". But you had to have an account to read these so I was liked damn and left the page. But my curiosity was too big so I came back and made an account Had no idea it was a forum I was signing up for so I was like WOW WHAT IS THIS PLACE???!!!
bollard_11 Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Billie Joe told me about it. He was texting me one day and said "hey you should spy on this site for me"
Krusties Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 I had just discovered Green Day and the internet and then I came across Green Day Authority. One day I clicked on a link and it sent me to GDC. Then, I decided to make an account.
