I would have to say:

I hold my breath and close my eyes and i dream about her

Cause she's 2000 light years away

She holds my malachite so tight so...

Never let go

Cause she's 2000 light years away

I sit outside and watch the sunrise

Lookout as far as I can

I can't see her, but in the distance

I hear some laughter,

We laugh together

That part means the most to me, my BF sent it to me the night we got together(:

:o it's hard to pick some line.. 'cause in almost every song are lines I adore.. hmm but one which always comes to my mind is

"Open the past and present and the future too"

there are way too many for me.

i did want to get "no bodies perfect and i stand accused, for the lack of a better word and thats my best excuse, but there's nothing wrong with me, this is how im supposed to be in the land of make beleive that dont beleive in me" tattooed on me, a mix of two lines i love, but i thought it might be too long

Every song definitely has some great lines.

I'm gonna go with "To the end of the world, under the valley of the stars" from Cigarettes and Valentines. I totally love that line.

like many have said, way too many to choose from, so here's a few that have left an impression on me

"oh well it happened again she walked away with her boyfriend" At the Library

"I'm in for nasty weather but I'll take whatever you can give that comes my way, far away" Going to Pasalacqua

"pay attention to the cracked streets and the broken homes, some call it slums, some call it nice" Welcome to Paradise

"does it seem when all your memories fade, you soke up knowledge to fill the space" No one knows

all of Holden Caufield

"you're a blur of my dead past and rotting existance" Stuart and the Ave.

"isn't that another familiar face, too drunk to figure out they're fading away" Walking Alone

"tears down your face leaving traces of my mistakes" Church on Sunday

"when I was a kid I thought, I wanted all the things that I haven't got" Macy's Day Parade

"your lifeboat of deception is now sailing" Little Girl

"are what you own but you cannot buy" Static Age

I have to say Boulevard of Broken Dreams. I really like that lyrics. The feeling of being alone is so familiar. Every word he sings is just so full of emotion, I love that song.

As Micheal Mayer said last night at the last American idiot broadway show Billie Joe is a fucking poet

Posted

"This cities in ruins but there's a flower in the crack of the street." from Olivia and...

"put your faith in a maricle" from east jesus nowhere

I've always thought all the little phrases in Walking Contradiction were genius. My favorite is "Call it as I see it even if I was born deaf, blind, and dumb."

This is really hard.

"I'm the son of rage and love; the Jesus of Suburbia." comes to mind first because it represents so much but if I really have to choose it would be something off of 21st Century Breakdown because their writing keeps getting better and better.

I'm gonna go with

"I want to take a ride to the great divide

Beyond the "up to date" and the neo-gentrified

The high definition for the low resident

Where the value of your mind is not held in contempt

I can hear the sound of a beating heart

That bleeds beyond a system that's falling apart

With money to burn on a minimum wage

I don't give a shit about the modern age!"

or

"So what ails you is what impales you. I feel like I've been crucified to be satisfied. I'm a victim of my symptom, I am my own worst enemy."

The brutality of reality is the freedom that keeps me from dreaming

seriously, this lyric gives me goose bumps is so brilliantly written

Yes, yes yes I have to agree.

I don't remember if I post here before, I think that I don't

I pick this:

"Sects of disconection and traditions of lost faith

no culture's worth a stream of piss or a bullet in my face"

No Pride :)

"There's nothing wrong with me. This is how I'm supposed to be." That line pretty much changed my life in so many ways. I loved it so much that I got that shit tattooed on my arm.

My favourite lyric is from basketcase:

I went to a whore

He said my life's a bore

So quit my whining cause

It's bringing her down

Posted

Probably this one:

Are you locked up in a world that's been built up for you?

Are you feeling like a social tool without a use?

Scream AT ME, until my EARS BLEED.

I'm taking heed JUST FOR YOU.

"There's nothing wrong with me, this is how I'm supposed to be."

That has become my life motto. Once I turn 18, I'm getting a tattoo of it.
