The Bunny Abides Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Would anybody please tell us n00bs what happened last year? I will. seeing as how I was one of the people who wanted to know what the infamous "Track 8" was. "Track 8" on last year's GDC VD CD, was supposed a cover of "She's A Rebel." However, the people of Track 8, who will remain nameless, ended up setting the measuring stick of doing something so...well... Let's just say Hellen Keller would change the track. However, I personally enjoyed Track 8. But this year seems promising. I was supposed to be doing something, but I was sick. However, I WILL have something next year...you wait and see.
localinsomniac Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 These all sound really good! Well done, everybody!

Here's the download link to the first CD. Just listen to track 8, and you'll understand.. I've listened to this year's Valentine's Day CD once so far, pretty cool, and especially Alex: I loved Blood, Sex and Booze. So great, haha.

Kayfabe Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Redundant is being my favourite. Caldwell, whoever you are, you are amazing. Although this could have a tendency to change, as I'm only on track four

localinsomniac Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Redundant is being my favourite. Caldwell, whoever you are, you are amazing. Although this could have a tendency to change, as I'm only on track four Wow, thank you! My favorites were When It's Time and Peroxide's take on BS&B though.

Kayfabe Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 so it turns out you are a rockstar. what the fuckin' hey! my file is called words i might have hate... lauren are you trying to tell me something?
Lauren Posted March 15, 2011 Author Posted March 15, 2011 Don't want to be disrespectful or mean, fair play to all of you for submitting songs, more than I'd do! But the CD is hit and miss, some are great and some really aren't. Thats purely from a musical critique, I know its an amateur compilation and like I said, well done for even submitting a song! Last year I wanted to make it only high quality songs, not like in a high tech recording studio, but atleast someone who can plug in their instrument to the computer and has a decent mic for singing. but then Alex said it should be open to everyone, so we take all submissions. I'm thinking about doing another yearly album that we only take higher quality ones.
