Jones adds that he is currently finishing the script for the new film and planning to hand it in to the studio by the end of March. "There's not going to be a lot of dialogue and it probably should be a little shorter, too," Jones says of the differences between the stage and screen iterations of the rock tuner as he envisons them in translating the property from one medium to another. "After that, it just takes it's 'movie time' in getting done," Jones concludes. Furthermore, Jones adds of the advantages of coming from theatre when writing for TV and film, "I found out very quickly that I had an advantage coming from the theater in writing for television that other people didn't have. [For cable series, the studios] want people who can write really great scenes, not necessarily great plays, that's the thing.
