IscoredWaddlesgoals Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 His hair's washing out and going pink He's doing better than me though, mine lasted 4 washes and went orange
ANJI Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Awesome! Great interview with great questions! Thanks so much for posting!
mikem Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 THANK YOU! One of the best Green Day interviews in a long, long time. Thanks for asking questions that real fans actually care about!
farley drexel hatcher Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 It was good but I don't think i'd have asked questions about "what are you saying in so and so song" ... that's stuff they probably don't even remember. Hell even I can't remember the bits of talking unless I listen to the song.
DecanoLP Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 BADASS interview. Wish there would be more out there. I love it when they're talking about old songs
djrossstar Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 Thanks. BTW, similar to the story behind 2000LYA, Billie Joe was jamming one day with Tim Armstrong, BJA came up with the music for 'Radio' & Tim liked it so much, he asked if he could have it for a Rancid song!
Katarina. Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I wanna be there when they clean up the attic.. Nice interview Great to finally have actual questions, as in, interesting things that haven't been asked before. Mike gave good answers too!
spark in the night Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I liked the On the Wagon question I think that's the only GD song where they use a "live audience" at the end
porksoda Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I was there I think the interview was more for Rossstar but he did ask some good questions. Mike was a really nice guy and I think everyone there got to ask him some good questions. I know I did.
Another Urchin Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Thanks. BTW, similar to the story behind 2000LYA, Billie Joe was jamming one day with Tim Armstrong, BJA came up with the music for 'Radio' & Tim liked it so much, he asked if he could have it for a Rancid song! Yeah, I always liked the crossovers between all the Bay Area punk bands before some went mainstream (of course, the obvious example is Green Day covering Operation Ivy's Knowledge, so Tim Armstrong can get Radio to make things even Anyway, Mike Dirt continues to prove that he's the coolest, most down to earth bass player in the world. I just like his explanation for what he says in the middle of Private Ale and Android (always record your albums sober!). Of course, if rock stars always recorded sober, the Rolling Stones wouldn't have Satisfaction and Green Day apparently wouldn't have Kerplunk!
Mauri Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Great interview man! And I dig the hair Mike... haha
Doris The Spider Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 That was great. It's good to hear people ask new questions! And I liked his hair.
haushinka912 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Really great interview! thanks for posting
djrossstar Posted February 28, 2011 Author Posted February 28, 2011 Thanks. I hope Warner will see it & get all three of them to my house for a full hour interview next year!
Hermione Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 This was great. Nice to know about the shit ton of songs in their attic! I enjoyed the little details of song questions........I must admit I was hoping for what does Emenius Sleepus mean though
djrossstar Posted February 28, 2011 Author Posted February 28, 2011 I forgot to ask that & who sings in the boys choir during fashion victim!
Lampostc Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Really awesome interview thanks for posting
Burnout98 Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Wow! Nice! Great interview! Thanks for posting this!
Smoothed Out Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Omg I am so slow...I didn't even make the connection that it was you when watching it on greenday.com yesterday haha that was a brilliant interview! I really enjoyed it :D May have said this before but I love Mike's hair colour
Hermione Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Still can't believe this happened. The great thing is you have it on video to prove it to yourself!
Liam Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I finally got around to watching it again and actually hearing what was said and it was a really good interview. This is the type of interview that would be good for the podcast.
