No Davey recaps so far? I'm going to echo everyone else and say that that man is so beautiful.

Just seeing Davey holding a guitar is priceless! Watching him pretend to play the guitar is hilarious. I love that he is on Broadway and wish that I could see it in person. :(

Haha, he looks so lost with that guitar... Sounds pretty good though! How was the rest of the show with him?

I have no idea about this guy but he looks seriously happy, excited and like he can't quite believe where he is. Following Tony and Billie he has a tough job so I hope he does well.

Apparently, Davey uses a black lipstick rather than a regular or bleeding red lipstick. That's all that I got at the moment.

Look at him being all happy and adorable! And I love his shoe/sock combo on the Fuse interview.

I wish him all the best during his run. I'm sure he'll be fabulous!

There really need to be more videos of his performance. *wink wink nudge nudge*

Sounds like he was pretty good! I'm very intrigued to see how he performed St. Jimmy and Know Your Enemy (and all of St. Jimmy's other parts, lol). I wish I could have stayed a few more days to see it all in person :(

So excited for this. He has the right, what's the word, aura about him. He has the fun-loving and playful side, but still has the sinister edge. He'll be perfect :D

Nope, nothing yet. But here's audio of "St. Jimmy" that Sarah posted: http://typed.tumblr.com/post/3613794461/st-jimmy-american-idiot-02-03-2011-featuring

Oh, and Hunter was there tonight!

Oh awesome! He sounds great!

I was just thinking about how all the "hardcore" AFI fans were so pissed that they were touring with GD...I would love to know what they think of this. Wish I still remembered my sign-in info for their forum.

Edit: Apparently you don't have to sign in to read it. They're mostly supportive, surprisingly.

I don't know what you are talking about. Most of us (I would say at least 75%) were very supportive and excited about the tour. There were only a handful that were too proud at the thought of AFI being an opening band. They were just shocked at the idea of AFI not being a headliner since it had been years since they had been a support band but they should have realized that they had to do something like that since their album, "Crash Love" wasn't doing very well (their record company didn't push it at all). I was the same way when Green Day opened up for Blink 182. I was shocked and pissed.

I didn't mean to insult those of us who are supportive of both bands. I was mainly joking about that 25% of the ones who think AFI is better than any others. I suppose I've had more run-ins (both online and irl) with that type of fan more than the other.

I agree though about Crash Love getting the short end of the promotion stick, but so did 21CB. It was kind of like a 'hey, our record companies screwed both of us over, so let's tour together!' kind of thing.

Yeah, I'm on the Despair Faction forums and it seems the majority over there is very supportive and excited about Davey doing this. :) There really hasn't been much hate directed towards the fact that it's a "Green Day thing." I like it when fans of both bands can be cooperative and enjoy each other and even become fans of the other when things like this happen. It did for me and AFI and Green Day are now my favorite bands because of it all.
