He had an operation to remove a bone fragment from his knee, and decided to have a haiku contest and offer it up as a prize on one of the messages. A load of people entered and the winner got the bone I can't find a very good source but apparently this was the winning haiku: Hey, Come here a sec, Ever seen a rash like this? Seriously, though. Someone else might know a better source though (or BE a better source if they remember it from when it happened). That's pretty awesome. Whether that was the winning haiku or not, it's still awesome. I thought it might be true because I saw someone on GDC saying they remembered it, but you know some people. Dying for attention and they'll make claims like that. Question: Are Tré's band messages saved anywhere? Even a couple? I only have Billie's.

Sadly I don't think so , we all want them but seems like only Billie's got saved. Someone must've recorded them for their own enjoyment when they came out though surely. Someone HAS to have Tre and Mike's messages saved (Yeah, Mike had one's too! ~catfish noodling?! :') ) ! The Haiku thing is definitely true because by the time I became a fan, the messages were still up and I used to listen to them a ton. I remember it disturbing my eleven year old self and making me all jealous that I did not own his bone. Guh, I miss the days when the only two sites I visited were Hello Kitty and Green Day's official sites. Can anyone remember any of the other messages Mike and Tre left?! I remember one where Tre was encouraging people to vote in some pepsi sponsored award show? and one where they were at some chinese or something? oh god, i wish I remembered them better. When did they get took down from gd.com? I can't remember. Mid '05?!

And oh god, what the heck is that monster penis thing in your sig?!? :lol: According to setlist.fm, they played it at Lollapalooza in Seattle in 1994. They also teased the song before Chump on Dec. 2, 1997, in Seattle. It's a safe bet that they played the song at least a few other times, particularly in the post-Dookie, pre-Insomniac period. thanks!
