Is this Billie Joe quote real? And if so, where's it from?

[On sexual preference] I really don’t think you have to tell anybody about that. It’s only sexuality, it doesn’t have a lot to do with you as a person. I’ve never had to tell my mother about what I am. She’s seen me kiss other guys and I’m married so I don’t know what I would classify myself as…human? I guarantee everybody fantasizes about the same sex. It’s only human.

I've seen this quote on it's own loads of times but never the interview it came from, hmm.

I know I have seen this quote in magazines before, around the AI era - or something very close to it, anyway. Maybe worded a bit different. I know the bit about not telling his mum was in a magazine though it seemed like more of a lighthearted comment.

I don't have any sources other than my poor memory lol but yeah, I definitely remember reading something like this in the context of a magazine interview before :)so given that, i'd say parts of it are real.

Is March 15 the real release date for AAF? Or was it just thought to be that day before it was confirmed?

Because a radio station website has the release date listed as March 21.

In the US it's March 22nd, and I'm almost certain it is everywhere else too. When the news about AAF first came out on Amazon it had March 15th but that was changed about a week later.

lawlz, how does that even happen?

Is "The Ballad of Wilhelm Fink just Billie Joe playing guitar and singing?

Yes, as far as I know and I'm pretty sure that's right, both, the singing part ( for sure) and the guitarplaying part is both just him.

do Green Day actually like the Blink 182 guys? ive seen them giving interviews together, but then i've read them talking about each other in magazines (in a bad way)

I've thought that too! I don't know is it just me, but for me it feels like that blink-182 guys like Green Day somehow, but Green Day doesn't care so much about those guys. I think that I've seen some recent Tom DeLonge and/or Mark Hoppus interview(s) where they talk about Green Day in a good way. I haven't seen too much or even at all interviews where our guys are giving an honor for blink-182.

Well, I'm actually pretty sure they come along pretty well. Just becasue they've been on tour together in 2001/2002 and because the latest interview of Green Day where they talked about Blink wasnt in a bad way either...I think it's just the magazines and all seeing them as rivals.

Its really not that recent..it was the one where fans could ask them in Kerrang in July or something 2009 (*cough* WHERE I WAS FUCKING IN AS WELL!! WOO!! *cough*)....and one girl asked if they'd fight with Blink or who'd win or something and they didn't say anything bad or something...I can go search for the link if you want.

Sorry about the triple post guys, my internet is being a bitch today

I don't know if they don't like each other or not, but I just think GD don't have too much time to bother with them. And with Blink, I'd say they respect Green Day more than like them. If it wasn't for GD and the Offspring back in 94, none of these newer pop punk bands like Blink, Fall Out Boy or any of them would even be remotely popular.

Okay. :)

Yeah, that's pretty much same what I'm thinking. Especially that respect thing. But yeah Green Day doesn't pay attention on them so much. And I like blink-182, and you're right about that too, there wouldn't be bands like Good Charlotte or Yellowcard without Green Day, The Offspring, Bad Religion and Rancid, which made punk rock music popular back in the middle 90's. I believe that these newer bands respect their "big brothers". But blink-182 made their debut album also in 1994, so they're little bit older band than FOB for example. Anyway, they wouldn't be so popular without that 90's punk rock takeover, which Green Day started.
