If it's on Wiki, but not on GDA/GDC, I don't believe it's an actual quote

GDA is shit when looking for quotes, it really doesn't have a lot of quotes

on the topic... there's this quote on GDA, anyone knows where it comes from? It seems a bit weird. 's a Billie Joe quote.

I've never heard any of those quotes before, I genuinely find the fan-fic one hard to believe.

The "the ones I have read were very well-written" makes it quite unrealistic.

(Not that all fanfic is bad, definitely not, but well.... if you've ever tried fanfic, you find out that, depending on where you search, for every well written story, you have to sort wad through a whole bunch of, erm, bad quality ones).

But for serious, from that quote I think only this part sound like it could have really been said or happened (regardless of whether they actually said it or not) "I've read a few. It's flattering and sort of weird at the same time. I don't really know what to think about young girls thinking about old men like that."

I think he thinks that FB is deleted. I think he deleted it, then logged back in without realising it would bring it back. Whatever is it, he doesn't use it anymore and hasn't in months, as far as I can tell.

And I'm also firing another question at this thread, is this quote real?

I've seen it in a couple of places (mostly tumblr and livejournal, and it's on the bottom of Sullen Riot), but never with a source or anything.

It's fake. A few years ago some girl made a fake Adrienne Armstrong myspace and did an "interview" on there. Someone asked a question about fan fiction and she pretended to get Billie to come over to the computer and answer it, that quote is what "Billie" wrote.

I read the explantion about it being fake on a fan fiction site, it had a link to the myspace to prove it. So yeah, the quote is pretty convincing but it's definitely fake.

You're thinking of when he played it for some fans who waited outside after a show in 2009. He originally played it on the radio years before that.

It is older than that.

Definately not 2009 because I had it on my iPod during the AI era.

The date for it I have on my iTunes is 2001.

I don't think that's right - the only thing that I can remember that's sort of similar on BIAB is this about Jesus of Suburbia (starts at about 9:08 on this video)

I'm sure he doesn't say anything else later. I don't think he said anything about September on BIAB, or at least nothing about that particular performance. I'd know for sure if he had said something about tearing up during September in BIAB, haha.

But that's also why I'm doubting how real that quote is. Because it's similar to something else he said in BIAB, but altered a little bit. Also because he didn't actually cry during the performance, just teared up.

Yeah, Wikipedia is really quite shit sometimes I remember when someone on here edited the DJ Hero wiki and inserted in the listed rumoured artists for the next version, that one of them was "DJ BJ, the side project from Green Day's frontman Billie Joe Armstrong". It was there for months before it got removed

But I'm always a bit hesitant about editing articles in case it turns out I'm doing something wrong and Wikipedia will ban me

Asbestos. It is a mineral fiber that was at one time used in building materials. Asbestos was band in the US since breathing high levels of the fibers can lead to lung cancer.

So, I was listening to American Eulogy while flipping through the 21stCB booklet that comes with the CD and I noticed that

one of the lyrics was written there, but in the audio it's a different lyric that what is typed there.

I suppose that was the original lyric, and then they changed it, but they didn't change it in the booklet or something. Live, Mike sometimes sings it like it's in the booklet, as well.

Well, it happens quite a few times that certain lyrics in CD booklets are wrong. Or the guys decided to sing different lyrics when finally recording the songs, idk.
